Lovely! Here's the G-rated version!

Mr. Jones has way too much spare time and an unhealthy fixation...

OK, this is getting silly: mr. & mrs. Jones.

Because nothing says 'science' like Comic Sans. How the hell do people like this look at themselves in the mirror? 'Oh yes, you crazy sexy Rangerphile, we're gonna get out and do some real science today,' he says and he prances about the bathroom parting his hair until his wife calls him out for waffles...

Gadget was one of the ugliest and most annoying characters I remember from my childhood. :x This only worsens the memories.

Eww...he's all intellectual about his fetish :(

Why Gadget Hackwrench, I want to know? Am I the only who thinks that the show wasn't really that good? Face it, it had nothing on Duck Tales or TMNT. Of course, that's just my opinion. Everyone is free to obsess over any show they want, of course I personally blame Gadget for any microphile fetishes ever created.

On a side note, I have a friend who once admitted to me that he had a crush on Gadget WHEN HE WAS A KID. Some people should grow up, you know what I mean?

Very. But he does mention something I've noticed on a few websites...

Even more unusual is
Foxglove, the bat. Not strictly a Ranger, and the youngest of the group, she has a crush on Dale and
has been accepted by the fans with open arms (or wings). She has her own website and figures
prominently in fan fiction and art. All this is the more astonishing since she appeared in only one
episode. Obviously, she fills a gap left in the original conception.

Foxglove appeared in only three episodes (according to IMDB) and yet she has this large fanbase surrounding her. Three episodes! Large fanbase! And the show wasn't even that good! Mm-whhaaaa????

But he is a very strange old man... Look at parts of his 'Why?' section...

By whatever stroke of accident or planning, the Rescue Rangers emerged as a group of characters
and relationships capable of bearing an almost unbelievable depth and range of literary and artistic
symbolism.

Yes, the show was incredibly deep with plotlines that range from...

Fat Cat is up to something evil and it's up to the Rescue Rangers to save the day

To...

Professor Nimnul is up to something evil and it's up to the Rescue Rangers to save the day

And the characters were very complex. Monterey Jack is a mouse who likes cheese! WHO'DA THUNK THAT'D HAPPEN!?! He's even named after a type of cheese, for christsakes! The only diversion is the whole Aussie accent thing, but even Disney are stereotyping Aussies. You might as well just exchange Monterey Jack for a black hamster called Token McStealYourCar who has a taste for fried chicken. DY-NO-MITE!

You will find historical research archives worthy of being master's dissertations.

Like an MA dissertation in psychology on HOW FREAKIN' INSANE ARE YOU!

I, myself, became a "Rangerphile" watching the show with my own two boys as they were growing
up.

I'm not sure "Rangerphile" is the right word here.

Now, in my "declining years" I am taking up a new avocation, learning to work on the web, to write,
to draw and otherwise cultivate long-dormant talents in celebration of the "Rescue Rangers"!

Some guys your age take up golf.

One is to provide a sort of deranged good humor.

You've got the deranged part working for you.

Just trying to make a contribution to raising "Ranger awareness."

If you want to raise "ranger awareness", you could just devote a website to Ranger Smith from Yogi Bear.

Haha! Oh Yogi! Your lust for pic-a-nic baskets will be the death of you one day!

Actually, she was only in one episode, I believe, called 'Good times, Bat times' (LOLZ GET IT? BAT? LOLZ). Her voice actress recently passed away.
All of this is documented on that gem of the internet, the 'Foxglove Feature'.
Thank you Wayback Machine!
Anyway, I remember that Jonescientific guy from PoE. He tried to convince everyone there was something sexy about a cartoon bat.
His...umm...art is all quite scary, but this takes the cake.
http://members.tripod.com/jonescientific/images/Tshirts_1.jpg
God, I sure hope that shirt is for his wife, but I wouldn't hold my breath, knowing what I know about this guy.
However, my favorite part of the whole site would have to be his Daughter In Law's Gadget fanart...
http://members.tripod.com/jonescientific/more_gadget_pictures_by_April.htm
Notice how depressed Gadget looks in all those pictures...talk about projecting your feelings into a character! But then again, who wouldn't be depressed if they were related to some guy who calls his wife the name of a cartoon mouse during sex?

By the way, I'm with Stoneth. Ducktales was better.

There's this poem, It's pathetic and stupid, just like the rest of the site.

Well at least he admits that it's a bad poem..

But still...

Ah, I misread IMDB. The voice actress appeared in three episodes, but Foxglove was only in the one.

That makes it all the more suprising. One episode! HUGE fanbase! Mmmm-whaaAAAaaa??????

You know, I went on IMDB out of curiousity and it looks like Tress MacNeille was the voice of Gadget. As a matter of fact, it seems like she's done a shitload of voices (appart from the obvious TTA voice) that I didn't know she did. Then again, I'm not one of those fanboys who stalk voice actresses from TV shows made to keep ankle biters quiet.

Tress MacNielle has done more voices than any other actor I've ever heard of. Her name is in the credits of practically every cartoon created after 1985.

She also did the voice of Colleen from "Road Rovers", another furry institution.
Where ever Tress is, there will be a furry stalk-dom.

Well, think he goes out at night much weawing this get-up? I can imagine bingo night in town.

BingoPlayer: Whats with the costume, kids birthday party?

GadgetFanboy: No, it is my inadequatcy for sex that has driven me to worship a 20 year old cartoon mouse from a long defunked childrens' TV show.

BingoPlayer: .... Stay the fuck away from my grandkids!

I doubt it. By all indications Mr. Obsessed Gadget fan is a different person than the owner of the webring. It seems that other people have won the Golden Acorn award, but the lack of a linked homepage for the award itself could very well mean that this guy made up the award and awarded it to himself.

Of course, you know that Mr. Ranger's precious Golden Acorn pales in comparison to all the other Golden Acorn Awards out there.
