Normally I don't much mind most types of furry porn, but this is really barely outside of something a 6th grader would do in a computer class in five seconds...sans the... anal...sex...

It wouldn't really bother me either, if he didn't have people that fucking praised that shit... Honestly, he gets fanart from people who are exponentially better than him at everything. His documents are pretty funny too, because they show he isn't a good writer either.

Somehow this one is twice as hilarious because it's in German.

The problem with this kind of artist circle jerkery is that, with practice, he might actually be a decent artist. But he's never going to improve because everyone's heaping praise upon his adolescent smut doodles, rather than offering constructive criticism.

Also, he really needs to quit taking artistic cues from Ebichu.

Luckily Dr.Comet split the boards into a high quality and an anything goes one so you don't have to wade through this crap to catch the better drawn stuff.

Dr. Comet likes raping other people's childhood memories. I've seen Kimba the White Lion porn by him, for which he should have his balls cut off. Yeah, he's technically good, better than 99% of furry artists, but he does have a hint of typically furry "all characters basically look the same" syndrome. And I severely dislike his habit of using manipulated & blurred landscape photographs for backgrounds. The characters just look out of place in them. Yep, another artist wasting his talent.

Maybe he's just getting lazy. He's no doubt in full commercial artist swing, and if he doesn't have to devote a lot of effort to his pics, he won't. People will buy his art CDs just the same; Bernal's even worse about just drawing the exact same furry with different colors each time, but people are still interested in his stuff.

Seriously, there is only the tiniest difference between a doctor comet cat, and a dr comet canine. Same thing with a dr comet horse and deer or whatever. Most of the time i have no idea what it is. Seriously though, if you making decent money drawing furry wank material and you have an established enough name to halfass it, why wouldn't you? Why would ANY artist spend hours on furry wank material? If your good, a sketch will get the job done just the same, it will have tits, ass and whatever else the customers want.

And if bernal couldnt draw the female ass the way he does, he would have no fanbase, i'll give him that though, he draws a nice ass. I just can't believe people will pay a monthly fee to see his shit.

Well sure, a lot of people do it for the shock value. But I'm looking at the moomins, and wondering how you even sexualize them. That's a pretty simplistic character; it's only a couple steps up from a few circles pasted together. You can't sexualize them, and it's less shocking than it is WTFing.

But maybe I'm asking a silly question, trying to probe this guy's motives. His whole art site is a trainwreck of things that should never have been committed to paper or JPEG.

Damage allready done, I linked to it in an earlier post. I meant that the T.L.U. pic had more "novelty in fucked-upness" than the Moomin stuff.

Some thought about what compells people to make porn of childrens entertainment:

First of all, there's the ever-increasing copyright-ignoring power of fanfiction-type porn, be it humoristic or "serious". It was always there and keeps rising exponentially ,I guess, due to the power that people like what they allready know. I got no other explanation for mainstream porn flicks like "The Sperminator", "Womb Raider", "Jurrasic Fuck" and god knows what else lurks on the vast market.

Off to the specialization on "kids stuff".

I think many people find amusement and/or arousal in the obscene artistic desecration of something thats considered "pure" (just look how many dirty jokes involving nuns exist).

Apparently our generation associates that sorta purity with the childrens tv-shows and books they watched and also current "stuff for kids" in general.
A wanted effect by the industry itself so that troubled parents can rest assured little Timmy only consumes clean and wholesome entertainment, so the image of purity gets pointed out and stressed to no end in their products.
That of course makes it even more fun to defile for those that like to defile. Add to that how you can also add a bit of satire how "kid friendly" seems to mean "dumbed down" these days and you get a few laughs on the "sees it as a joke" part of the spectrum.

Further down the spectrum we have the "OMG SO WRONG!" sort of motivation.

It's a sort of fucked up thrill-seeking motivation to shock and get shocked that can be propably explained by the reason why you are currently reading the atrocity archive. "NOTHING IS SACRED" is the name of the game and parody has ceased to be a matter. As example in this very thread we got some reactions from the horrible, horrible Moomin porn. Why? Because the Moomins rock! They don't deserve ridicule, it's just defilement. Even with the critical mind of an adult and a forced removal of the pink-tinted nostalgia glasses I can't find anything bad about it.
Therefore Moomin porn is so very much "OMG SO WRONG" fodder that causes a very strong emotional reaction in us and we'll keep on browsing the retarded websites because we're dumb like that. :)

On the end of the spectrum we got the even MORE fucked up: fetishists that allready live in lala-land and project their sexuality into the "borrowed" fictional universe of their worship. You know.. those people that build their life around the teachings of "the Lion King" and write/draw obsessive epics about Simba fucking Kovu or some shit like that.

I really like Dr. Comet's work. Even if some of it is a bit... gross, he's clearly talented. In fact, it was his website that unfourtunatley introduced me to the whole "furry" thing(which began the most awkward 2 years of my life thus far). His work is pretty easy to learn stuff from (except being able to do dogs, they look the same as the damn cats.), and I for one really like the color work on them.

Getting back to what I said, that Big M, hate him. Though, I'm glad I didn't like Blinky Bill or know about the Moomins, but I swear to god, if I see him do like...Samurai Pizza Cats crap, I'm going to kill him. (I KNOW IT EXISTS ELSEWHERE, I'M TRYING TO IGNORE IT!!!)
