Looks like JPEG artifacting to me when I zoom in.

But seriously, I think including dicks here and there in that comic will actually improve its sales, seeing as how no-one cares about Sonic anymore.

*cough*

Well, outside the rabid, uruk-esque fanbase that has gathered around it.

*cough again*

Naw okay, maybe not ever diehard sonic fan is a rabid uruk-hai, but they do seem like it sometimes.

There was ONE sonic comic that I strived to get..

The one comic thing where sonic gets transported to an alternate universe set..
IN THE 1920's!

I'm a way huge fan of the 1920's scene, fedora's zuit suits and all..

Anyway, apperantly robotnik is a huge gangster and trys to kill sonic with his "Machanations" which are some random robots.... Until I noticed like three of them looked familar..
Tom, Crow, and the one from Lost in Space..

That was an awsome comic.

Yeah, looking at the rest of the pic, I call bad art over shopping.

Someone pointed it out over at OneChan a while back, saying it was her knee or something. Still looks pretty damn bad.

lol. Well that would certainly explain some of the more notable Sonic adult fanart I've seen. Yeah, it's probably shopped, but it's still humerous.

I have that one. Gotta love the robot cameos. It's issue 52 if memory serves me correct.

It is 52. It's sitting on my bookshelf with like all but like 5 or so of the first 60 comics. My susbscription ran out though, and after #50 it became stupid shit and got rid of robotnik. Those comics were badass when I was a little kid though. They're so terrible now though, but I will never be able to get rid of them.

Not exactly. It was from back when the Sonic comics were still worth reading. And by "still worth reading" I mean "held my interest". I see no point in subscribing to or buying the comics nowadays.

It isn't Photoshopped or otherwise altered. I own that issue and she looks like that on paper, too.

Ah, then it's sort of like the priest's leg in The Little Mermaid.

Not necessarily. Once in a very great while an artist working on a dull work-for-hire project will throw a spanner in the works just for the hell of it.

A friend of mine worked on a number of the covers for the Prince Valiant reprint series. The covers feature enlargements of single panels form the comic, which means they required a good deal of touch-up plus new colouring. And in one of those covers, featuring a crowd scene, he stuck in a humongous erect penis. It's cleverly hidden in the background; you kinda have to know it's there to see it... but it's there.

Also, I once saw, in an issue of The Comics Journal I believe it was, a panel culled from a Captain America reprint where the colourist had added a few details to one specific picture: a dick on the protagonist's sidekick and the image of an eightball on the forehead of a villain. Very odd.

The only problem with that is the priest in The Little Mermaid has cartoonish knobby knees. Amy doesn't have discernable knees, nor is she kneeling. That lump was put there deliberately.

Actually, in the back of an old Uncle Scrooge comic I read, there was a short piece talking about how sometimes the artists or writers will throw something like that in there just to mess with the editor ("Mighty nice set of pipes you got there," said to a woman holding some bagpipes). It's not malicious, they just get a kick out of seeing what they can sneak past the editor. I'd wager that's what's going on here.

This is a bit off-topic, but since we're talking about Sonic ...

Found this from YTMND.com (http://segadarksoul.ytmnd.com/) and it's supposed to be an actual page from Sonic Archie comics #90 or something. Does anybody know why did he yelled "KHAAAAN!!" in the end?

Sometime after they got rid of robotnik I remember one shitty issue had a crazy flying monkey named Monkey Khan. I guess he reappeared.
