Occasionally, I peek in on a page called Kemono Island. While Dr. Comet, the author of the page, does some pretty freakish stuff, he also does some fairly neat pictures, and his skill is undeniable. I used to look at the oekaki board, since it was interesting to see what kind of stuff people were sketching. I hadn't looked at it in a while. Apparently, however, it's basically turned into a haven for nonmorphic Pokemon porn. Scary stuff.

However, I began to suspect Hell truly existed when I decided to look in today and saw this.(NSFW)

I know the feeling. When I clicked that link I just kind of froze like a deer in the headlights. Someone put alot of time and effort into it. And they obviously have some level of skill. But... 'chibified' cutesy pokemon beastiality porn is.. well shit, it's horrifying. All pretences aside and this is coming from a guy that browses 4chan. (/b- random grotesque bizarre batshit insanity. /k- weapons. /s- porn). I've know of Comet for two or three years, his work, for being furry art; is completely fappable and probably my favorite.

I took a minute to browse through the first few pages. While most of the stuff is general run of the mill furry art or 'Hey guys, let's draw weird shit.' The guy doing that pokemon stuff just creeps the shit out of me. Obviously there's been stuff like this before, but this just WAY beyond.

For furry the bus is much like the one in Speed.

That reminds me of some pedo crap I saw on VCL a while back, not good.
A lot of messed up things we see around here and other places are at least somewhat interesting in a gory movie sort of way, but that, well I guess it's informative. For one thing I guess it's another indicator of how anthropomorphics serve as a vessel for fringe tastes. Most of the variety is a good thing, its fun. But this, 'fuck a puppy', fuck YOU whoever you are that drew that. I don't know where to draw the line, but it is definitly before THAT. I guess for now I'll be the optimist, and retain the hope that even if the genre is going to hell in a handbasket there still is some fun to be had in getting there.

I'll agree that some of Comet's stuff is wankworthy, even if furry. He does some great poses, and the expressiveness of his character's eyes is very skillful. While putting boobies on some nonmorphic lioness from Jungle Emperor Leo might churn the stomach a bit, pictures like his picture for the year of the sheep are at least very artfully done and interesting.

I've seen Pokemorphs that didn't necessarily make you want to claw your eyes out. But, the stuff that seems to be coming up on Comet's oekaki board now isn't even morphic. It's just taking these critters that are barely even recognizable as something resembling an animal and putting a vagina on it. With this puppy, I assume that's supposed to be a vagina. Whatever it is, it looks like the puppy needs a vet, STAT, cuz it has some serious inflammation going on.

And then, when someone dares to suggest that the picture is pretty fucked up, some batshit furry has the audacity to suggest the person has issues. It would have been one thing if they had said "Well, it's a free board. They can draw whatever they want." That would have been stupid, but excusable, since it is true that people are free to draw whatever they want there. But to suggest that someone has hangups or issues because they don't find inflamed puppytwat sexy, and dares to make a post saying so....... that's just the height of furry mentality as it exists today.

I oughta get on there and draw the most fucked-up thing I can think of, just to see what kind of responses it would get.

That is just fucking disturbing.....I've got a gallery somewhere that has the odd adultish pokemon picture in it, mostly I do nude pokemorphs, funnily enough the picture with the most comments on it is the non-morphic Eevee that I did out of boredom. It's a five second doodle with nowhere near the effort of most of my work, I was wired on various legal stuff and now can't remember what on earth possessed me to draw it but that shit five second drawing has more comments then one piece I slaved over for two days... :? I guess prevs rule all eh?

Hmmm, none of the pictures there are any worse than some of what can be found on VCL or Furnation... it's the combination that makes for the queasy feeling. This very nice picture and this considerably less nice picture ought not to be on the same page.

Yes, the nice pictures used to far outweigh the not-so-nice ones back when I'd regularly look in on it. Now, though... OMG. Bonus points for the Pokeporn pic for the artist showing the cutaway of the one thing's tongue inside the other's business and... for not apparent reason, also showing the rectal cavity.

I just don't get it.. Pokemorphs.. okay, I can see how, if nothing else, it's entertaining to morph a Pokemon and put tits on it. But, when someone looks at this...

And says "That's kind of hot.... all it needs is tits." And someone else says "No, man.. forget the tits.. just put a twat on it." I have to stop and boggle.

Looking even deeper, I encountered the Pokémon porn. I just don't get it. They're disturbingly well done, and all the commentors go "Ooh, how cute and sexy!" What, they're throwing gentials on kid-appropiate fantasy creatures and inviting the viewer to...well, you know. I even found one of a Pichu (which is a baby Pikachu, I repeat, a baby) done in this fashion.
They put the deviant in art. (shudder)

That's what I hate about online communities for weird fetishes like that. People that have strange fetishes ("I love my dog in more than one way") go online, find a variety of people that love what they love and spout out a deluge of pornographic artwork. Then the people encourage each other. "Oh there's other people out there that like rubbing beanie babies on their gentitals, then it must be normal!" When anyone tries to say that the fetish is strange, or speak out for the objects in the fetish ("Your dog does not want to have sex with you") they immediately are silenced and derided by the community.

Well, hell, you're talking about a fandom, let alone one oekaki board, where anyone can draw something that's even sub-par for a 4-year-old and people will post comments like, "Nice! Great work!" or "Sexy beast! **murrs** ^.^" or "I'm fapping to it right now!" It'd be really interesting to know what the events were that led up to this current state in furrydom where no one dares to suggest anyone has room for improvement. There's a difference between encouraging someone's improvement, and just being a total yes-man. So, if they're not even willing to suggest someone's work has a LOT of room for improvement, you think they're really going to have the balls to suggest zoopedopokeporn is not only twisted, but just dumb.... like.... Stryper dumb.

You kind of have to wonder how many of these posts of praise are because someone genuinely liked the image, or if they're just posting it to have their voice counted among the others. A lot of cartoon porn of mainstream characters is its own thing IMO. I think some people treat it like a game. Well, people with too much time on thier hands anyway. Theyll go out and try to draw porn of every single cartoon out there. Stuff that has cartoon animals animal characters will have cross over with furry fandom, just like stuff with anime characters will have crossover with anime fandom. (or both or other fan groups involved)
