Wow. I remember when VCL didn't have ageplay, incest and underage sex.
How the days pass. Oh well it's FoxxFire. Not like Cha'marr is going to tell him "TAKE THAT DOWN." |

Could this NSFW pic of his be a comment on the infamous elevator incident???
PS: another "artist" doing gay furry porn. You could feed pigs with these "artists" there are so many. |

I've seen some pretty interesting stuff from the Kama Sutra and all, but there's a point at which some of these poses just become dumb. (NSFW) |

Nobody said you that you have to be creative in order to draw :)
Wookie's 'art' looked just as shallow and cheesy as it did what, 8, 10 years ago?
(BTW I just noticed don't tell anybody but I think he might be teh ghey!) |

I remember a few years back there was a big hoo-hah because Wookie/Nakira's URLs were leaked or something to folks he knew.. including his workplace and, I think, family. So, he yanked stuff down and stashed it all in a hidden directory in attempt to look like he had cleaned up. |

Lesson to be learned there for Wookie, if you're ashamed of it, perhaps there is a really good reason :P wish more furry artists would subscribe to that sort of ethics then we wouldn't get half the trainwrecks on VCL. |

Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding!
That's exactly why I've never drawn porn. If you're ashamed of it, what the hell are you doing posting it on the internet? |

Simply because, in furry fandom, everybody else does it?
Being the furry fandom such a decentralized collective, without any real, solid reference (such as a series, like in Star Trek; a certain activity, like flightsimming or a particular genre like manga), peer pressure is almost the only way to feel one belongs to the group.
While at a certain point the focus of furry fandom was cartoony animals, as time went by, and by reasons we all know, that's not the case anymore. Actually, in order to have a certain status on the furry world, you have to draw porn.
While I don't know this wookie person myself, not his art (and I prefer not to check, thankyouverymuch), I suspect that if he would have kept his stuff clean, he wouldn't have had any notoriety on the fandom, regardless of his technical skills.
It's a real shame, but after 1997-98, the only way for a competent artist to earn some notoriety within the furry fandom (and notoriety means popularity and a higher demand of one's stuff, that is, more money per pic), the only way to go up, is by drawing AT LEAST erotic stuff. And, if you draw openly pornographic pics, it's even better. And if you happen to draw not only pornographic stuff but kinky stuff, well, your popularity will skyrocket. (Doug Winger, anyone?)
Actually, few, if any of the furry artists with certain popularity in nowadays' fandom, saved themselves from drawing porn. And not any porn, but furry porn; something most people outside the fandom will find repulsive regardless of the theme or mildness, simply because, outside the fandom, eroticising a funny animal (and that's how furries are considered outside the fandom) is, simply, prostituting a concept most of people identify with childhood.
Furry art -starts- where most of other similar, art-related collectives -end-. |

Did you know that technically, because it's drawn and not photographs, that is not illegal?
It still is terrible and horrifying, though. |

I guess it depends on the laws. When Paul Kidd's case appeared, I remember I crawled on Australian laws regarding their definition of 'child pornography'. I found that some Australian territories define 'child pornography' as...
1) A person who knowingly has in his or her possession a film, photograph, drawing, audio tape, video tape or any other thing depicting or otherwise representing a young person engaged in, or in the presence of another person engage in, an act of a sexual nature, being a depiction or representation that would offend a reasonable adult person, is guilty of an offence punishable, on conviction, by imprisonment for 5 years.
...This led me to believe that Mr. Kidd COULD have been convicted for possesing 'cub art' on this law's juridisction. |

It's pretty easy if you think a furry's a pedo and you want to get him gang-raped Edward Norton style (and by that i mean by the rock himself)
1. Watch Pokemon or the Amanda Bines Show to lower IQ. (Yu-Gi-Oh! works just as well, in this case.)
2. Lower typing abilities to that of a 13 year old.
3. Bait under the guise of an innocent 13 year old gay furry boy, using constant references to your parents and Linkin Park lyrics.
4. Log.
5. Send to http://www.pervertedjustice.com and wait for further instructions. |

Please, please, send me the software to do that in my own brain, too.
When I see something specially revolting, the image I've seen will settle down in my brain for days. The effect is worse when I'm caught with my guard off.
I still remember the first time I found something I quite didn't expect. I've been an avid simflyer for many years. When I was doing once a search for Flight Simulator 98 add-ons on a huge online archive, back in the late 90s, I found a rather heavy zipped file. It said, "Replacement sounds for crashes". When your aircraft met the ground on a non-optimal way, FS98 had a rather crappy, non spectacular sound. So I downloaded this happily, opened it, and found a few WAV files. And then, I just played them, expecting to hear awesome, movie-like explosions and the stuff.
But I WAS WRONG.
Those sound clips were actually cockpit recordings of aircraft that actually crashed. The last seconds of doomed crews, that saw impotently how their deaths drew closer, dressed with the sound of explosions, screams at the background, and then abruptly interrupted when the accident actually happened.
This was unpleasant to hear. And it was MUCH more unpleasant simply because I didn't expect it.
After that, I found many more unexpected gross material on the web, from revolting sex scenes to gross mutilated bodies, from live suicides to terribly stupid FLASH animations, from VCL's vaults of visual horror to Japanese sadomasochism. And, slowly, I've grown older and rougher, but, still, despite this armor I wear every time I surf the web, many things still affect me and chase my thoughts for days after seeing them.
So, please, tell me how do you do to delete shit from one's brain. My personal sanity will really appreciate it. |

Idem, just add "stomach turned, lunch lost". I can take almost all the fucked-up fetishes furry can offer with a LOL, but THAT... was simply sick and wrong. |
