Does anybody know the historical, social, or psychological origins of the 'inflation' thing? Vore, I think, as another user pointed out (sorry, I can't remember who you were, and I'm not gonna sift) is MOSTLY about what might be considered the ultimate form of submission or domination. That ones pretty blatent.
But the inflation thing has me clueless. All I can think of is that it might be tied to how the inflatophile copes psychologically with his/her (most likely) obesity.

I think the inflation thing is similar to the folks that are insanely into big people. I mean, I like a little meat on my women, but I've known guys that would consider the mother in What's Eating Gilbert Grape to be waifish. There's a difference between having some nice curves and being a walking coronary.

I've always been inclined to think that the guys that are into morbidly obese women other than as some sort of fetish are victims of their own low self-esteem. I think some of them figure that a fat chick that would be stereotyped as desperate is the best they can get. So, they wind up fixating on women like that because they figure it's their only shot at anything. <shrug>

That could very well be another side to it. You see folks like this on Dr. Phil quite a bit... not ones who are just meaty enough to defy the waifish proportions that the media tries to tell us are the thing to emulate - like Liv Tyler or your average Lane Bryant model - but women who are morbidly, grotesquely obese. Rather than go through the process of diet, exercise, and medical counselling if needed, they convince themselves that they're absolutely radiant the way they are. I'm all for thumbing your nose at what the media tries to convince you is the singular definition of beauty, but there's a difference between simply not fitting the popular image, and being grotesquely unhealthy.
