I guess most folks have allready seen http://www.biaf.com.au/BIAF5/wac/15.swf a pretty expressively drawn and well animated flash video of a TISM song. As it has rabbit people in it, the inevitable assimilation into the furry fandom was quick and weird.
First sightings appeared on Guppys oekaki board
First this (not work safe) http://www.bluefurry.com/oekaki?tism
then this, which kinda introduced the joke to foreign elements in an incoherent ,akward kinda way (not work safe, not brain safe)
http://www.bluefurry.com/oekaki?A002844
and finally this (no naughty bits, just nicely drawn wrongness) http://www.bluefurry.com/oekaki?A002853
I think there's some kind of evolution going on there... We're prolly see the song+t-shirt gag in the next pawpet show or something... at least it's not as abrasive as Badgerbadgerbadger... |

I was introduced to the song & video on the Pawpet show, but I don't think any of us thought to do anything with the t-shirts. The damned thing's been stuck in my head ever since, though.
Given the material that he had to work with, I thought it was very imaginitive and that the animation and character expression were amazing for a flash video. Compared to the other entries in the TISM video competition, it had quite an edge. Bernard Derriman, the animator and director for the video, has some more short flash animations at http://www.arjandpoopy.com/ |

Nothing is as abrasive as badgerbadger.. Anyways, I know this thread isn't a critique of the flash, but.. I think it sucks balls! Especially the music. It just doesn't do anything, WTF ever happened to Rock and Roll?
And the "haha its a cute bunny talking about sex, ain't that novel' is hip and also is totally lame.. If you want a rockin Flash, try Ddautta. Korean ska, yay! And a story.. The music has ten times the meaning of "everybody has had......" and I don't understand a word!
(EDIT: it's also a much better flash, visually) |

Yeah, allready knew Ddauta from before. Loved it a lot and still like it. Speaking of Ska and cats...
Here's a blast from the past in *shudder* shockwave video format.
Catman
Back when I stumbled upon it, it didn't have those annoying ads before the clips, but it's well worth watching. Great style, great music, even a story that closes nicely with the last episode. |
