ok, I know the track record for this is incredibly bad, but there must be at least one television series that would be improved by including furries. any Sugestions?

1) Fear Factor - ____insert random furry fetish here____ , see which contestant is the last to squick. Evidently, fear is not a factor for him/her.

2) Blind Date - 2 thirtysomething males in female fursuits go on a hot date, with witty commentary... interspersed with little cartoons of foxes boinking each other. Then one refuses to take off his fursuit in the hot tub, etc. Or maybe a nice demure girl gets set up with an unbathed 300 lb Happybear. Train-wreck ensues.

Brainiac: Science Abuse

These people have features like "things you cannot do while being electrocuted" and "Tina Turner and her bunsen burner", and perform experiments like strapping people to chairs and proceeding to have one guy tickle them and the other beat them with ping-pong bats as hard as they can and find out which one they ask to be stopped. They subject people to Brown Noise (google for it) in order to see if it works. Thie sadism knows no bounds and it's all in the name of science.

Subjecting furries to their wrath would only make it funnier.

STUDS. But with real horses.

Okay, that'd be a stupid show. I just said it for the delicious pun!

EDIT: Oo! Queer Eye! Send the "fab" five over to a hardcore furry fan's house (and by his house, I mean his parent's house), get them to redecorate his basement into... well... something livable, give the said fan a wash and a shave, style his hair, help him lose some weight, teach him to dance properly (not that shitty "cabaret" dancing you see at cons), and suddenly he's surrounded by ladies. Ta-da! The Queer Eye team have done something useful for a change: they've turned a furry into a decent, well-groomed member of society! Thanks, Queer Eye!

Any reality show ever.

Scott: Hey guys! I'm back. And I brought some issues of Genus Male.
Rick: Gena-what?
Tim: What, no beer?
Tiffany: Why are you wearing those ears?
Scott: Oh, do you like them? They're to compliment the tail. *turns arround*
Tiffany: Ohmahgawd ... loser. *walks off*
Rick: Dude, that's just plain weird.
Tim: Totally.
Scott: You guys just don't understand me. I'm in touch with my inner fennec!
Rick: More like in touch with your inner faggot.
Scott: This... this is fursecution.
(Later in the confessional booth.)
Tiffany: I just couldn't stand it. Scott was totally acting like a furry faggot. Ever since I've met Scott, I can't help but think that he's a waste of proteins. I hope for humanity's sake that this man does not breed.
(Later in the confessional booth.)
Scott: They just don't understand me. No one does. But that's okay. They're all mundanes. They wouldn't know happiness if it yiffed them in the tailhole.

1) Fear Factor

This could work. Suggested challenges :

* Talking to a real, live girl
* Being submerged into a tub filled with warm, soapy water
* Castration with rusty scissors

I've seen the promos for the furry episode of CSI, to be broadcased tomorrow in the evening here in Spain. I guess producers found it so freakish that they even made a special promo for it. I've checked the "official CSI page" on TeleCinco, and found this nifty gem: http://www.csi.telecinco.es/desarrollo_noticia_601.htm

I guess I'll watch it to see how they translate "furry" to Spanish. As far as I can read, they translate furry fandom into "taxidermy". Go figure how clueless people is about furry fandom on these latitudes. ;)

My guess would be that the writer mistook "furry" for "furrier". Only terms I've seen for "furry" in Spanish have been off a few Spanish-speaking furry sites like Zorro Re. Perhaps "peludo" or maybe just plain "furry"? I've seen the CSI episode, but not in Spanish. Here in Nicaragua, most shows like that are subtitled and I unfortunately have not caught it played down here.

Be sure and let us know how they translate "furry", "yiffing", "scritching", and "furpile".

You BET!

Ah, good old fashioned anthropomorphics. No photoshopery filters, no sexual tones, no faggoty furry-speak, no cameo-whoring, no niche audience humor, just funny animals drawn by people who actually know how to draw.

Now if only I spoke French. Why can't more furry comics be like this?

Because Photoshop filters, sexual tones, faggoty furry-speak, cameo-whoring and niche audience humor is what makes furry furry. Outside of furrydumb, lots of nice unspoilt animal comics are still being made. Thankfully.

BTW, Michel Plessix' previous work, an absolutely adorable adaption of Kenneth Grahame's classic "The Wind in the Willows", has been published in English.
