Post subject: LA Times Article |

If you go to Yahoo.com and search for 'can't we all get along la times' then you may come up on an article that can explain part of the Furry phenomenon, but not directly. It's based more on how humans associated themselves with wild animals, or the 'Doolittle Complex'.
As for Furry Bashing itself, I think people need to clear up their hatred and be a little more focused. I love it as much as any other person as it has so much poison running through the fandom, but blindly hating all and everything to do with it as well as anyone even remotely involved for being fascinated with a 'Fursona' or animal people seems a little over the top.
Anime is an example, just not on the bizarre and strangely complicated level as Furrydum. There's plenty of unsavory people who squeeze into cosplay and collect every and single thing to do with their favorite cartoon, and make life hell for everyone else by being a pustulent thingie crawling around and generally being an ass of a Japanophile. But that's only part of the entire fandom, and not all people who like Anime are totally obsessed nerd-jerks who dress up like Sailor Moon and scream in your face on how to properly pronounce Pokemon or something.
Furry just has a HELL of a lot more crashing down on it since it's based more on.. well, you know. Quite a bit of wrongness.
Or maybe I'm just touching on something unnecessary, I really don't know. Everyone thinks differently and it's not like I can change that whether I want to or not.
There have been some very interesting and informative articles here, and I myself an not a Furry, but find some to be somewhat over-prejudiced rather than witty and intelligently time-wasting.
Anyway, we all have WAY too much time. |
