With something like this, it appears to be only a matter of time before Hopkins turns the comic into a full-fledged flash animation. |

Hey, that was funny. It was also unnecessarily furry. |

It's times like this that make me glad I uninstalled Flash long, long ago. |

I think it'd be great if he left some more time for us to actually read the comic before scratching out all those words and getting to the "deep" stuff. |

That was a... shitty animation. Okay, Comp, I concede that Jack is really pretentious now... damn. |

I'm still seriously surprised this bucket of dog vomit is still around. It's only even half way interesting quality is that camos aren't hard to get, as long as you suck up to the two that barely do the strip. |

I can't see the animation, but then again I'm on dial-up so it'll probably appear by tomorrow.
I always thought Jack would do well as a written novel or perhaps a TV series, but there's no real need for it to be furry. I do enjoy Hopkins' plot though. I haven't actually read the comic since last year, so it could be different nowadays, I don't know. |

...I miss the days of good interweb comics, like PLIF and SpaceMoose. OK, maybe not so 'good' as 'actually amusing', and still significantly less fucked up than 'Jack'. |

Most furry comics are indeed furry for no other reason than being furry. But in the specific case of Jack, there's a very good reason in the storyline itself that the characters are "furries". (Yeah, I actually read this comic on a regular basis, and I like it - I think it's a good story.) |

Before I bother looking at Hopkin's work again, the comic is angsty and involves a lot of torture/rape of women, right? |

Eh, Jack was thoroughly discussed in this thread back in October. No reason to do it all over again. Been there, done that. |

I'm sure that if you were creating a comic whose main character is the Grim Reaper / Sin of Wrath and often set in Hell, it would be angsty too. |

Starts to explain why he has so many fangirls. I sware it seems like every other woman in the furry fandom has a torture fetish, or at least some kind of major BSDM streak in her. I don't have anything against it, but damn it's starting to get to the point of the lifestyler and homo shock troopers stupid. |

It will seem cool at the beginning because of the violence, hell, rape and all that cool shit but sooner or later you will find yourself pissed off at all the melodrama.

I'm guessing it's the countdown to leaving the board FOEVAH. At the total of 444? Whyyyyy?
In other news, all the intresting members are leaving/gone. There better be an influx of new soon. |

And pissed off at the fact that the comic goes fucking nowhere. |

You could say that. I expected it had some bigger plot going on where the bad guys get what they deserve and the good guys have it even worse (but omg, there is still hope.*) The comic, as I see it is basically the author's self-therapy while dealing with different negative aspects of life and loss without actually bothering to build an interesting plot. The aspects of loss are projected as many of the characters in the comic are the avatars/imaginary friends of the author's furry buddies.
*thus a spinoff

I've had my fix, I walked my twelve steps, now it's time to pack my bags and head back to the land of the thousand lakes. Also it's only a matter of time when this forum crashes into a dick-waving e-fight and with english as a second language and a serious lack of motivation, i'm not game. I might be wrong, though.

Actually, the reason they ARE leaving is either a) because they've finally gotten a life that *GASP* DOESN'T involve CYD, or they are b) sick of the stupid dipshit n00bs coming and thinking that they are the almightygod of furryH8RS. |

Eh, everybody else here seems to hate Jack, so check your PM inbox for the story recap. |
