Moronic cynicism is taking a vaguely "No Logo" stance towards capitalism, but then working for a big marketing company, exacting your revenge on "the Man" and "the System" by frittering away your working hours on the internet and, when you're finally and understandably fired, stealing something.

But capitalism is awesome, and I steal stuff already.

Cargowank's added definition is incorrect by the terms of the original article, by the way. It opposes my first quote. It is, as well, the only thing that might actually apply here. Of course the kids can get off on it, as Posty hates CYD and Posty hates 'moronic cynicism', so CYD is moronic cynics.

And I was kinda wondering why the shirt didn't say 'Coca-Cola'.

I think you can pull of an unscientific experiment and prove this almost anywhere in furry - especially on the clique groups like #deaddog!...

As for the 'bastard' culture, by the definition alone of being a bastard you can't categorize that as a culture. It's like saying that there's a 'nice people culture' out there as well. It's not something that you can typify because it crosses all boundaries of culturalization that everyone experiences.

As for imomus's "moronic cynicism", it is a poorly written essay piece. There is no continued argument or point to his whole essay considering the lack of any clear thesis. His repetition becomes obnoxious and shows an elementary understanding of presenting an argument while effectively demonstarting his major points. I'm not gonna go through his whole post and quote everything that is said but just skimming over you can see the complete lack of a final definition of what "moronic cynicism" truly encompasses. A large part of the post is just a firing of one-liners in an attempt to be making an educated definition of this.

The post does have one strong part where he basically quotes an entire block passage from Peter Sloterdijk. However, there is no original thought in there and just regurtitation of Sloterdijk's work.

Anyhow, too lazy to really care to give it a more in-depth critique. XD
