Hilarity.

E2 being one of my main information portals, I see furries popping in now and again, Price probably just having the most name recognition here (and unique in using those godawful herm pronouns in his user profile). And there are a few names I see popping up in Slashdot comments. Anyone else found furries loitering about and RUINING EVERYTHING in places they haven't expected?

It still urks me that I find a hit for VCL 95% of the time I'm doing an image search. :(

I've noticed that furries pop up when there's mention of them. They usually come out to explain furry, leaving out all the bad, creepy things.

There's an e2furries group on Everything2, and I can neither confirm nor deny being a member.

it was in four parts and i would link to them right now but e2 appears to be down, and i can't get the google caches of the site to load. i guess it's not to be, but i'll do it later. the people demand it!

and yes, i did say it was split into four parts. apparently textfucking is such an intricate and complex procedure that it required FOUR NODES to explain in full.

also; second first post, the attentive may remember i registered shortly before the forums exceeded their bandwidth limit back in may and never bothered reregistering because i was doing other stuff. i'm pretty much a longtime (18 months plus) lurker, and am dr dos' pal so hi dos ^________________^

I still don't see why they can't call it what it is... Cybersex. As one who has experience here, furry sexual roleplaying, be it on furc or whatnot, is the same general thing as cybering someone you met on a chat room. Just add tails and knots.

Because furries have to 'furryize' everything, much like how new parents have to 'baby-proof' their homes, by covering all sharp edges and anything that could be harmful. "Cybersex" sounds like a 'bad thing', like 'typefucking'. Hell, even the word 'sex' is taboo in furrydom. So we have words like yiff and tinysex.

Remember, they're not fucking stuffed animals up the ass, they're "Yiffing a plush in the bum".

Because the term 'tinysex' was invented shortly after the 'TinyMUD' server. It wasn't a furry term to begin with, and I don't believe the furries have monopolized it. Oh, and furries cling to made up words because they like to feel special. Only furries yiff.

I always preferred 'Britishing', anyway.
