For those who haven't seen/heard yet, apparently Arcturus, once proud co-admin of FurAffinity, has settled on the name "ART PLZ" for his own new furry art site. Again, for those who didn't know, he was going to call it 'Artfu', until everyone told him it was stupid and asinine since there's already an artfu.com.

I'm betting it'll be a pile of virtual smoldering rubble by New Years.

As idiotic as I consider the creators of FA to be, I don't believe that Arcturus is stupid enough to call his splinter gallery "ART PLZ" unless he wanted to see it go under.

I personally liked FA, but I think it could have been run way better. I think both Jheryn and Arcturus were at fault in the decimation of FA for poorly running the site and not having the ability to settle petty disputes. Well it's been said that furries ruin everything they touch.

Right now, DA and SA are looking pretty good in comparison.

"ARTPLZ" sounds like some kind of pre-teen kid begging random artists to draw their fursona with 1337 speak and alt caps.

I dunno. It may live, as with the camp split, FA got the most dramawhores with Preyfar/Dragoneer now in charge of bringing things back up while Jerhyn hangs back or whatever.. and Arcturus seems to have a idea of how to run a site without leaving huge f'n holes for every SA wanna be to come in and disrupt. We will see, as like everything in furry with two opposing sides, there's bound to be intersite drama (I've allready seen and spoken to artists who are supporting ArtPlz and shunning FA)

From what I see, as long as the site is kept going (Arcturus knows the secound it goes up, there's going to be anon trolls and FA supporters trying to flub it up to make him look bad) and the idiot drama is kept to a dull roar and only where fourm goers have to deal with it, they should do fine.

And really, while ArtPlz is a tad silly (So was SheezyArt and FA), it is a furry art site that will have a large amount of porn, copyright infringment and art whores, watchers and followers alike..so they don't really need to worry about trying to have a viable rep like DA does..or is working towards.
