Found this on a website form a print-on demand company's web site.

Description:
In today's society there are many different cultures and groups of people. One such group of people are known as "furries". They have a great interest in animals of different kinds. Two "furries" Scott and Jessica, go to the annual midwest MidFur convention with great hopes that they will have a fun time with the rest of the furries going there. The only problem is, someone is ready to write a book about the "furry" culture. Only after the convention does anyone find out that furs have been exposed to the world as sick perverts and there is little anyone can do to destroy the negative image. Unless Scott and Jessica can pull down the curtain on the antifur before the virus of a book spreads to the whole world, they may have to say goodbye to the furry culture forever.

The "Virus" has already spread in the "real world", and guess what, nobody cares. Inside the fandom, or outside of it for that matter.

Oh and here's the page for the book.
There is alos a sample chapter that is linked from there, and like most vanity press stuff, it stinks.

The author of this really missed a big opportunity. He could have better approximated the furry culture as well as sold more coppies if he had put a 17 inch penis on the cover tiger.

Culture or not, it would not be so bad if it all died.

You know, this is a great idea!
I think I'll write a book about furry.
IN WHICH EVERYONE BECOMES MORBIDLY OBESE AND SELLS THEIR SOUL FOR MINERVA MINK PLUSH DOLLS.
I shall call it:
"FURSECUTION! a novel"

I shall call it:
"FURSECUTION! a novel"

Bigger, damnit! A novel isn't enough...we shall create:
FURSECUTION: THE MUSICAL!

Featuring songs like:
"We are the Fat Ones"
"Drama, Drama, Drama 'till her daddy takes her LJ away"
"Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be furries"
"O FurryMuck"
"Don't Forget My Internet"
"Art theiving soul raepers"
"VCL Quality Control (Just Click Approve)"

...and many more.

It'll be a Broadway smash!

I second the "FURSECUTION: THE MUSICAL" idea. But don't forget songs like:
"Always Be My Babyfur"
"One More Pile"
"Sunday Yiffy Sunday"
"I Want a New Muck"
"If I Were a Foxman"
"Artsteeler"
"Foxwolfie Superstar"
"In the Fandom Now"
"Stupid Dance"
"Oh Drama"

And a few more songs as well:

"Furry Porn Artist"
"Fifty Ways to Run a FurCon"
"How do you solve a problem like the Mundanes?"

Ha! A furry rock opera!
Featuring the timeless Portal Of Evil hit,
"The Keister Kabana"
And other great songs such as:
"Yiffings for nothing and Skritches for free"
"Mayfurry"
"Zig Zag's got an STD"
"Rocket Manawolf"
"I love Muck n' Roll"
"I fought the paw"
"Forever your squirrel"
"Smoke on the fursuit"
"My Minerva"
and
"Somebody's watching me" performed by Tress MacNeille!

I can so see that as a shirt design for CYD, akin to the nailed shirts from Something Positive. That is, a shirt advertising a fictional rock opera/musical. Graphic logo covering the front, soundtrack listing on the back.

I might just have to make that. I know I'd love to own one of those shirts!

Thing is, that plot sample was so shitty, not even the fandom will support him by buying copies. Oh yeah the idea of two furs, rightly labeled as being with total f'n freaks overcoming the media's outlook that the fandom is built on porn, brownnosing, more porn, fetishes taken out of control, thus giving it a negative image? PLEASSSEEEEE.

As long as there is any hint of adult works or lifestyling in the fandom, it will never be looked at as anything other then a freak show. At least the anime and video game fandoms are based on huge f'n money makers that you won't be ashamed to publicaly be known to like.

Yes, yes, it's an ego-press, basically, a way to get your horrible fanfic or autobiography that nobody wants published.

But you're missing the point here! Tee shirts! Tee shirts for Fursecution: The Musical!

I can smell the silkscreening already...

That's not really true. Furry fandom isn't the only fandom out there that has sex and lifestylers, most of them do to some degree. Furry is just the only fandom that insists that it's ONLY about sex and lifestylers. Anime fandom has plenty of hentai and otaku but anime fandom has opened the floodgates of anime into the US. What has furry done? Gotten spooge on it's fursuit, that's about all. Oh, and alienated just about every professional, successful company that might ever do anything good for the fandom.

There's lots of adult works in the anime fandom, too. The difference there is that the anime fandom draws a clear line between anime and hentai. Granted there's a lot of nudity in anime, but even then there's a plain difference between shameless fanservice and outright adult content. Furry doesn't even try to make a distinction, which is the whole problem.

Well, that kind of confuses me, to be honest.
The whole sex/innocent furry stuff line is blurred beyond recognition. How would they go about seperating it?

Well I used to seperate it for the longest time by spending my furry art perusing time on Yerf. They had some good stuff, but they've been down for nine months now.

It would be better for the fandom to build drama-free art galleries than porn-free ones.

Quite true, but your own sig assures us that such a thing is not possible. Alas.

I wonder if Tarah is still involved in that or not. I'll have to ask her next time I see her.

They have gone and published a book by RH Junior, everybody's favorite neocon idiot. Next to Jay Naylor that is.

It's a collection of his furry fantasy web comic.

"Weird_guy_in_the_corner" want to give it the "treatment?"

First time I ever saw Lulu.com, I thought it was part of "Friends of Lulu", which is this Up With Women In Comics group. I was wrong and then some. The fact that Ralphy published his crap comic via them is just sad.

To be honest, the comic's not that bad. Aside from the raccoon-mania Junior has along with the mind-boggling "lux" thing and the "God is great, education bad" undertones, it's okay. Compared to, say, "Kit n' Kay Boodle" it's a godsend.

"Culture" does apply to furry, in the growing microbes in a (level 4 biohazard) lab sense.
