Where are we supposed to go for all the GOOD things that came out of it? Like watching movies and cartoons together? Or discussing our favorite comic books? Or trading sketches and stuff?

Mind you, these things aren't central to my life. Still, it would seem a shame to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I think furry fandom and the Anthropomoprhics genre are different things, so, to me, the "destrution" or disappearance of furry fandom wouldn't be a problem at all, and it would allow me to keep on drawing my beloved, innocent funny animals without the stigma of its supposed "furryness" flying around.

Regarding the list of the things you have said on your post, I'll reply you as concisely as I can: I don't need to be on a fandom to enjoy a movie with your friends, I don't watch cartoons anymore, nor comics; and regarding trading stuff, I never felt a strong urge to collect art or sketches. :) Hence why I wasn't so active on fuirry fandom. :)

I dunno, unfortunatly there is no other place than 'furry fandom' where anthropomorphic / cartoon animals are focused on

i just currently kind of use furry newssites and stuff to find out about comics cartoons and things that are coming out

i mean theres plenty of way decent furries , and theres plenty of totally fucked ones

who knows, i personally hope the fandom turns around because it had tons of potential that got flushed down the toilet by a bunch of self-satisying miscreants

and i feel bad for the people that have been around since the early days to see it all go down

Hell, I'm GLAD the fandom is around. It gives me plenty of amusement. Without the fandom, there'd be no Dennis Falk, and what fun would life be then?

The "furry fandom" has destroyed itself utterly. People who were once harmless if a little pathetically running in circles have been dragged down into the cesspool, parasites have invaded it, and scumbags moved in and been welcomed with open arms by brainless people you'd otherwise think should know better.

"Anthropomorphics" will survive. I continue to write about wolves and so on, fighting wars, loving, having adventures, living their lives, and will keep on doing so.

While I don't mind spooge, the willingness of good talented artists to cater to it exclusively no matter how twisted the customers, just in the name of the ego stroking, has reached epidemic proportions.

Furries make backhanded defenses of bestiality in their utterly unconvincing denials of its very existance as a fetish among furries.

Fursuit fucking is damn near superior to all other sex except fucking plushes among way too many furs yet when given real sex without suits and masks between two real people, they go to pieces and collapse into gibbering blobs of drooling fear.

Accretion of dysfunctional ultra introverts and hangers on has gummed up the works of furry and made it un-fun.

But anthropomorphics? It will survive on a separate partition. It's furry fandom that needs a clean reinstall. And CYD will no doubt keep up its anti-virus status, pointing out the infections until enough people have enough and reformat.

One must bear in mind that anthropomorphics have been around for ages, probably since the existance of men, so it'll continue to exist thanks to people who are professionals.

It's quite insane to think that the "furry fandom" had a lot to do with it. It's because of the "furries" that there isn't hardly any sense of skill or professionalism involved with anything.

The only good thing about the fandom is the humour.

i think the best way to grow anthropomorphics again , back like it was during the boom in the 80s - do the same stuff again

Magazines, APAs, and stuff devoted, focused on cartoon animals
no fucking fandom, no bullshit politics

i find it completely ridiculous that the fucking FURRIES dont have something like this...
fandom been around how long now? and there is no main or recognized magazine? Theres Rowrbrazzle, but thats closed to the public , Huzzah just tanked, Gallery.. well its ok , i have to get some more current issues of it though
most fanzines are strictly fetishistic or pornographic

the news sites, like Flayrah, and the dutch counterpart to it usually have nothing to report on , so they just report on Animal-related news, or 'weird' stuff
or, of course, when furry gets bad press (AGAIN)

the print runs on 'furry' comics are laughable

If the comics being printed by SFA Mu and Radio cant sell its not because of thier content its because of the reputation furry has earned itself

I'm assuming you mean the unintentional humour (or "TEH FUNY" as we semi-pro Pathological Haters call it)?

I used to write humor when I began my POP-PMS writings but much of it was totally lost to the audience. Some of it was so over their heads, it damn near became a hazard to navigation to the space shuttle.

But then, pathos, drama, tragedy, irony, etc., are about as well understood by most of furrydom as your average border collie understands vector calculus.

I think it is a result of furries tending to willfully live so far from everyday society where they'd learn to "get it" that they just can't... "get it".

People do those things completely independant of furrydumb. The destruction of the "furry culture" could only serve to reduce any stigma surrounding the activities you listed.
