Anyway, I don't see how the author of that Wiki entry can tell this anecdote, which perfectly illustrates how retarded furries can be when it comes to "fursecution":

It reminds me of a moment on FurryMUCK, a few years back, when someone posted a link to a picture of himself standing with his dog. The dog had a very elaborate harness, leash, and collar; and I joked about it with the exclamation, "Doggy BDSM!" The guy immediately sent me a private message blasting me for making fun of his "chosen lifestyle." Apparently he felt that I was insulting "zoophiles" with that remark, even though zoophiles (people who engage in "loving" bestiality) actually treat their pets and lovers with care, love, honor, and respect. Of course, I never would have known about his "chosen lifestyle" if he hadn't told me about it.

...and then basically say "CYD :roll: " 'Course, he's a dogfucker apologist, so whatever.

A little google search yields nothing along those lines. Assumeing this wasn't made up, it would have had to been a mamber who stated it somewhere like a private forum, and the writing style doesn't seem to match anyone I recognize. Only Hirtes would have that mentality, but his language isn't that varied or fluid.

I'm barely involved in anything furry, i as well mainly come here for the laughs. The only stuff that acctually bothers me are you know, the crimes against nature like pedo and dogfucking. Well, it's a wiki, so anyone can post stupid crap. The site claims to be related to the Church of the SubGenius, which encourages "information warfare", so it makes sense in a way. Although the Church of the SubGenius material I've read is clearly tongue-in-cheek; the CYD entry is just stupid. I assume some random screwed-up furry stumbled onto this wiki and decided to leave a stain, just because he could.

What you have with the The High Weirdness Project is a snarky little web site that satirizes Furries and "Fur-bashers" alike. This isn't the first time that someone said that CYD was a Furry site, and treated it like one: an equal opportunity target for being made fun of.

So far as no one's posting anything objective concerning CYD on WikiFur, I added this to the article on CYD:

CYD also provides an extensive collection of documents valuable to those researching early fandom history. Some of these aren't available elsewhere. Also included is an extensive collection of links to other Furry web sites (http://crushyiffdestroy.com/links.php), the majority of which are actually favorable to the fandom.

That was quite awhile ago, yet I just checked and it's still there.

Well, from what I understand of the situation, the Wiki was directly linked to the VCL_Horrors community on LJ. That community is on thin ice as it stands, given how notorious LJ is for coming down hard on anyone or anything that mocks furries. (See also: SALJ, LJDrama's furry section)

Ch'marr, of course, is Internet Popular, and need only say the word before thousands of furries ~~give him blowjobs~~ cry to LJ-Abuse about the community. And nobody wants that...at least, nobody IN the community.

ones, anyways)...but the article that has elicited the most outrage so
far is the entry on Crush Yiff Destroy, the Web site dedicated to
exposing the worst excesses of...gasp!...furry fandom. They've made
the effort of redirecting the link from my site so that it loads a
lovely porn picture of an overweight guy giving a blowjob to someone
dressed in a "fursuit." This picture will repeatedly pop up new
windows in your browser until it crashes.

If you have a pop-up blocker installed, check it out for yourself.

Firefox is based on the mozilla engine, on which Opera and Netscrape were based, which was originally a rewrite of the original Mosaic browser code. So it conforms to web standards much more than IE does. If you have issues with it crashing and behaving abnormally, chances are it's a problem with your OS.

Anyways, I agree that the owner of the said wiki probably should have done a little bit more research before creating an innacurate article. But, now that it has been pointed out that he himself is actually a furry, I can deduce that any criticism directed towards him , good or bad, was automatically given the standard quick "OMG FURSECUTION" treatment.
