Yes, a few of you are going to poke fun at me for being on Gaiaonline, yes, whatever. Harharhar. Truth be told, a good majority of my buddies are on it, and thus it makes it worth it to stay =3.

Anyway, today I was glancing through the forums and lo and behold, there was a thread about FURSECUTION!

What's funny is, really no one seems to care that there are furries on Gaia, and yet, a user with fox-ears and a fox tail, starts a thread about how furries are being persecuted. Yep, firing up the ol' drama machine up!

It gets better.

Today I was at Gordman's looking to expand my winter wardrobe. Well, I figured it would be nice to browse through the toy section to see if I could find a Christmas present for my younger brother. Knock two birds out with one stone, eh?
.

Anyway, they had these action figures that were basically anthro dogs called "K-9 Corps" <Look here for info http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_attrib.php?form_keyword=K-9+Corps&topcat_id=&page_id=2006&lo_p=0&hi_p=0 > Now I have to admit, I love Rottweilers (No, I'm not a dog-fucker, my love extends only to wanting to cuddle them, help with the rottie rescue agencies, and to collecting rottweiler stuff.) so 'Eclipse' the anthro-Rottie action figure kinda appealed to me. While totally harmless, these toys automatically made me think 'OHNOES, TEH FURREH!"

And I could have overlooked that toyline, but no! I was again confronted with furrydumb! I was walking past the girl's section and I saw these dolls called "Catwalk Kitties" or some shit to that effect. Think of those awful "Bratz" dolls, only with cartoony catfaces and bodies with painted on fur! I can't find these online, and I can't be arsed into searching any further for them.
Argh!

Getting driven from Gaia online for being too much of a furry is like getting driven out of a NAMBLA meeting for being too much of a pedophile.

Heh! Kinda what I thought... a good lot of Gaians are furry, no one ever makes a fuss about it though, so fursecution is nonexistant <-< and thus a moot point.

Is that a mini disk/DVD that comes with them? That round donut thing next to the figure.

I have also noticed more of the major retailers are carrying the "Bratz" style anthros, Hello Kitty, & Pound Puppies. Why didn't this stuff stay dead from the nineteen eighties? Its like they want to teach the kids when they're young.

Hey, those K-9 Corps figures are sort of cool. I've always collected plastic dogs (STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT)...but how is Hello Kitty furry? And the Pound Puppies? When I was a kid, I preferred stuffed animals to dolls...I never had a dog until a few years ago, so it was good practice and gave me something to cuddle (I SAID TO STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!)...not every kid is going to reinact sexual fantasies with their Hello Kitty toys...and not every toy that features an anthro animal, or ANY kind of animal for that matter, is tainted by 'teh furreh'.

If you actually read the first post, you would know that I wasn't saying that I was actually angery or thought the toys were TEH_FURREH (In fact I admitted to liking the K-9 Corps, and I'm buying the Rottweiler one =3) I was merely stating that I found it a bit funny. Don't take the post too seriously, I was trying to be silly. There have been several anthro toylines over the years. They used to have these uber-musclebound sharks called "Streetsharks" or something. Then they released a line of toys that were basically dinosaur version of the same theme. ( I don't remember what that toy line was called.)

How do I know all this? I was a tomboy growing up.

No no, no don't think I was angry or anything Pinstripe about what toymakers make or what consumers buy. If there were any ryme or reason applied to toys we wouldnt have the creativity that went into GI Joe, Barbie, Tranformers, TMNT, Legos; the list goes on.

My eariler

I only said this because these perticular toys didn't seem to fit any sales graphs that I have on retail sales; bottom line they don't sell as well as they did when they originally came out.

 However, the K-9 Corps figures that come with a disc; if they were the right price I'm sure they could be marketed with the GI Joes and Ultimate Soldier lines and have really good sales number.

Eh, alot of furries do that, though. Whenever something is even the SLIIIGHTEST bit animal-related, they brand it with a big ol' furry label. I was just sayin...
And AYYYYYY I used to play with Streetsharks!

Those 'catwalk kitties' you saw are probably "Bratz Petz". I remember seeing them in the store a few weeks ago. Furry did come to mind (oh noes!), but I quickly realized that they were just cute and harmless instead. Imo, if it's not fucked up, its not furry.

But yeah... teh furry is everywhere , or is it?

I saw a commercial last night for a neopets videogame.

It looked like that starfox platformer if it was made for a ps1.

I used to have some of those when I was five. It was fun throwing them into my neighbor's yard...untill they discovered their dog with it's head smashed in...then it wasn't quite as fun.

HAHA I saw that too.
I can't help but wonder if there's a 'Hot Omlette' mod.

the worst part is you were supposed to more or less throw them at each other.

How traumatic is killing your neighbors dog when you're five?

I just seen a bunch of these things in a local liquidation store, and I was afraid to touch them. My head filled with images of pasty, overweight basement dwellers cradling stained, sph'd Foxz in their arms, whispering furry sweet nothings in their lifeless ears.... -shudder-

I have not seen these in the store yet, but I do have horrible nightmares of turning down the toy aisle to see hairy, sweaty fat guys crowded around, fighting over the doll.

I dunno, but that particular dart missed my friend's face by an inch or two. Good times. Lawn darts were the kind of toys that seperated the smart children from the ones who would've killed themselves with such hazardous devices of destruction. Chemistry sets, too. Uh-oh...straying off topic.

And there's the easy-bake oven and the air rifle. All sorts of toys I had as a child that are viewed as weapons of mass destruction today.

But this...this causes a whole new kind of destruction for me. Spiritual destruction.

Wait...maybe this sort of destruction isn't quite so old to me. Nevermind.

I had an air rifle too

and the little girl down the street I used to play with had an easy bake oven. we made brownie once

wow, so my childhood was the museum of the toys of death.

really I don't think the toys have fuck all to do with it, parents just don't pay enough attention to their kids now, both parents have to work now and no one is paying attention to the kids. I don't care which parent works but parents need to spend some time taking care of the little horrors.. er angels.

Bwahaha! With the right type of advertising, these could easily banned from liquidation stores just for explaning what customers they will bring in.
