Furry school was built in 1956. <...> It was named after Ray Furry for his many dedicated years to Perkins Schools. He was principal and head teacher at the four room school house that began in the Perkins Schools in the early 1920’s. Mr. Furry retired in 1957 and his portrait still hangs proudly in the lobby of Furry.
I guess that makes sense. But it's still an unsettling name. I wonder if anyone's told them. |

those kids will be mercillessly ridiculed later on if they tell anyone the name of the elementary school they went to.
I guess they're lucky not many people know what what furries are. |
