I believe that you will find this to be a bit of a problem. Here, here, here, and here are threads dedicated to yours truly. I seriously doubt that yet another one, even if done as an interview, will be welcome here. You can try it if you like, but be forewarned.

So far as "clearing up misunderstandings", I don't believe that anyone seriously cares. CYD is all about folks entertaining themselves by making snarky comments about the fandom. They would do this regardless. Why do you think I don't bother correcting their "misunderstandings"? You see, the "misunderstanding" is deliberate, and is the whole point of the reason for the web site and forum. Here is a case in point. A while back, we had someone state that all Furries are sociopaths. What can one say about that? Deny it, and send him over to the Furry Sociology web site? I wouldn't be telling him anything he doesn't already know. If he really does believe that all Furries are sociopaths, then there is nothing I could say that could penetrate that fortress of stupidity.

I suppose?

Away from this forum, these folks are quite different. One CYDer moderates a Furry forum. We have another who posts regularly at Furtopia. Still other CYDers attend Fur-cons and simply blend in with all the other guests, some fursuit, collect con badges, draw Furry art, write Furry fanfic and comics. They act just like any other furfan. There is no real misunderstanding for the majority of CYDers. Most of them are Furries themselves. It's a fact that has perplexed Furries and non-Furries alike for quite a few years now.

How can anyone care enough about a subculture to defend against generalizations about it as though they themselves just got insulted. A subculture full of sociopaths, no less.

Most I've met ARE sociopaths. Besides, who cares? It's mainly on the internet, so what do you expect?
