Probably the crappiest illustrator job I ever did, but it took about 30 minutes, so..
Basically a little character I made up. Got a 4-bore for general hunting (shown), a 9-pounder for macros, and a 10/22 for any micros. His goal in life is to hunt hermaphro foxtaurs to extinction. |

This took me about 10 minutes.
LOOKOUT! Here comes Dogthing, time traveller, arquebusier, Knight Templar, and nefarious internet bandit.

When I read this thread, I knew it was furry season. There was no time to lose. I got my shirt, didn't have time to even iron it, and got my ole good reliable 37mm Soviet tankbuster, and lurked for some prey on the southern hemisphere.
The pervert I was looking for didn't appear, but then, I saw one of his creatures, hidden between some HTML code. Perfect prey, perfect pose, perfect situation. I aimed carefully, pushed gently the trigger and the huge recoil almost broke my shoulder when the huge armor-piercing was catapulted towards its target.
I had a direct hit! I had a prey! So I got my useful, rusted Boy Scout knife and cut the head of the prey, dunno what it is, though, maybe a cat of some sort, while the creature spasmed in agony while I cut its throat and then separated its head from the body.
And then, I smiled at the camera that follows all cartoon chars and posed with the head, that still showed some signs of life. I was proud.
I would have preferred cutting the arm, or maybe ripping the eyes off the face of the evil, sick being that created it, but, hey, this is more than good and enjoyable enough.
What do you think? |

I'd have to say that it's a preparatory expression for bukkake, or perhaps rape, but rape sounds a lot like someone chewing wet cookie dough with their mouth open so I don't know.
I think this thread is retarded, but that's just me.
Retarded yes, but a deeper look reveals more

arquebusier,
Umm, You're might have to be more specific that just saying "arqebus" (though the correct form is really: "Harquebus"). Using the term "arquebus" unqualified, usually meant that it did not have a trigger mechanism and an Arquebuisier would have to carry a slow match to apply to the vent, in order the ignite the gunpowder.
Also, The reason why they were called Harquebus, Or "hackbutts", was because they usually had a hook or spike or something like that, on the end, to allow you to rest it on something, like a wooden stick or a wall, in order to help take the recoil and to use as a weapon perhaps.
Since that example has a trigger mechanism on it, and is referred to as a arquebus, It would probably have to be a Serpentine lock, though really the trigger is too small and facing in the wrong direction for that, also the trigger guard was not usual and there is no visible “arm.”
Also, Arquebuses tended to basically be metal tubes with a simple straight stock of wood (like a crossbow of the times) or metal just sticking out the end, which you held in yer hands, While maybe your assistent held the slow match to the vent, if you had one.
So the stock on the gun might not necessarily be very accurate either, it looks more suited to a matchlock than what might be described as a harquebus. But even then, there doesn't appear to be much of a firing mechanism to it…
So perhaps a little refinement of the design methinks... |

I wish I had my scanner. I'm excellent with Illustrator when working off a base picture, but from scratch, especially something like a person, and it doesn't work. I'm okay with the more "traditional" arts, though, and this picture was based off of a sketch.
Arquibus (yes, spelling, but that's how I learned it, so that's how I'll spell it. Older words never really did have a set spelling), hm? Those things would be fun. Although, wasn't the most common calibre (no, I'm not British) for those things about 14-bore?
Ah, and one thing I neglected to mention. He also has a Nock gun. For those who don't know, a .54 calibre, seven-barreled musket, all seven firing at once. Usually three balls loaded down each barrel. Often used for destroying masts and riggings on ships in older days. |

Try a medical anatomy book.

Between 17mm and 36mm was common.
14 bore is 17.6mm
By about the renascence or so, Calibre dropped to about 13 to 16mm IIRC.

It was unpopular and dangerous because of the risk of a ship's sails and rigging catching fire from the muzzle blast. |

Well, damn, if we've moved on to freaky old muzzle loaders:
In 1718 James Puckle produced his 'defense' gun, a tripod-mounted revolver which allowed a rapid fire to be put down. Two cylinders were provided, one of fire round bullets, against Christians, and one chambered for square bullets, to be fired against infidels. |

It's OK. Not everything's going to be seriousness and deep philosophical comments about furrydom's debacle. I like doing silly things, too!

Yeah. While I was drawing the doodle, I did a quick search on Google about that folk, found a gallery and got that pic. And I don't know what was the char doing there, neither. I just concentrated on the face and forgot the rest, 'cause I wanted to finish my pic as soon as possible. But I DO remember that the pic was sideways, and was on a strange position, like crouching down or the stuff.

Ohhh... Just imagine something like a "Photoshop Phriday" here in CYD...
Wouldn't that be fun? I could go and hunt as much as I wanted. 8) |

What do you think?
Good, except maybe some pants? Out hunting, there's sticker bushes and thorns, and wild nymphomaniac hermaphrotaurs... From the looks of it, once they get within seven feet, you can't do more than thwap them with the barrel... |

Hey. my chars are cartoons and they all embrace the "no pants" philosophy. So reality doesn't matter at all, as I can bend it as much as I want. :)
Speaking of which, in the reality where my chars move, there are no such creatures. :) |

Here's a memory so fine
It was April '99
The ConFurence was in town
So I took my rifle down
I shot up a bunch of furries and I put 'em in a box
8 lifestylers, 5 fursuiters and a fox
I was sick of their perversions
So I gave into my urgin's
I just whipped out my ol' gun
And oh boy, did I have fun
It made me feel warm and fuzzy like a brand new pair of socks
8 lifestylers, 5 fursuiters and a fox
Oh I got into some trouble
The cops came on the double
They said that they were going to take me away
But I wasn't very worried
I said "Hey, they're just furries"
And when I said that, they said "Okay"
And my modus operandi
It's as simple as a pot pie
I hide in the "Ageplay Room"
And if you come in, you're doomed
And it's easy to bag fanboys who's IQs are that of rocks
8 lifestylers, 5 fursuiters and a sex-starved, yiffy fox |

Thank you for that bright spot in my day. I once had all of Lehrer's albums but can't remember where they are for the life of me. Beautiful riff. |

No, I just renamed the old "Test" forum which was the most pointless one ever. I left in that post because it was vaguely relevant. |

While the 7.62x54R round used in the Dragunov is certainly adequate for deer or furries, I wouldn't trust the accuracy on it... If you must use a semi-auto, use a modern BAR or Remington, or an old Garand or M1A.
Oooh. I wonder what sort of penetration I'd get on a soft-skinned angstmonger wearing fake fur armor with a .30-06... |

Through-and-through. Swiss cheese on full auto. Something you'd see on ogrish.com when you were done. Way too quick and almost instant should you put on through the brain or heart.
I'd prefer a .410 from maximum range to drag out the suffering. "OUCH!" "AH!" "FUCK!" "AHHHH!"
Right in the rump...
Which brings up the idea of using paint-balls guns. You may have heard in the news of that service where well-heeled men can pay big bucks to hunt down a naked woman and should she be willing, have their way with her. I wonder if we could get something similar going with fursuiters. Except that to be the winner, you have to nail them with 75% of shots and expend all your ammo. At the start, they give you 10000 rounds... |
