Do these people come up with these names?

I was idling a few hours surfing and came across the furries for peace site...

Poking around I found the supporters page yielding such gems As Xydexx Squeakypony.... :lol: and Weyfour WWWWolf...oh yeah I can just see the look on the hotel managements faces when these guy's check in with their con badges. What possess's people to name themselves like this?

I always thought furries had like a law or something about having their names be some mispelled variation of "Foxfire."

I've been thinking since 1999 how I could get my fucking name removed from that list.

Weyfour WWWWolf is finnish, actually. His VCL gallery is golden (rotten), and can be found with the name urpo lankinen.

So few people left with simple names. I have a feeling it will get worse with the finish of LoTR. Please, oh please let it not be...

Netscape requires e-mail. I don't have any. The partial line "the wolf is at the door" comes to mind. wolf@your.door works and I can get online. Let's shorten it to w@y.d. Wayd. Wayd Wolf. Simple. Redundant. Guaranteed not to sound like anything anyone would name some ranger in some swords and sorcery novel or like some weird too snuggly furry name. Destined to keep people wondering idiotically, "does that rhyme with Wade or flayed?"

What IS up with names like Frostfang or Fireclaw? Why not Alkalinesoilclaw? Or Ginigivitisfang? Or Overwaggingtoomuchtail? It's never anything like that. Always something dramatic. Acid is dramatic. Howabout Acidpaws? Or Scissorbeak Neuterpuppy?

On second thought, that would be too much fun.

Scissorbeak Neuterpuppy is the greatest name in the history of stuff. But I'll bet that any furry who adopted it wouldn't do to so much for the humor as for advertisment for a unique new fetish.
