when i saw the art i thought it was just cute and didnt get what was wrong, but then i read it. I have nothing to do with any religion and it gets on my nerves if someone goes on and on about god because im just not interested.
but to really go against this artist because they celebrate they're love of god in their art? c'mon...they're just picking at anything now!

Yeah, and you notice how none of them use more than 3 sentences to do it? It's because they feel the need to run through every other thread on FARK and post 2 or 3 sentences. That's how farkers operate.

There's a bit of a reason to that, actually. You see when one lacks the ability to concetrate for more than a few seconds on any gven subject, their ability to be proactive on the subject dwindles - OH HAY LETS GO RIDE BIKES!

Ahh.. you know people want to pick on her for being religious/spiritual, I may disagree with the picking on part, but I can't argue with them if they say she's religious and/or spiritual.

However, when they're talking about her and mentioning "sexual perversion" and the like that's where I call: BULLSHIT!

It also kind of frustrates me 'cause it almost goes to show that maybe it's pointless to try and be "normal" in this whole furry/anthropomorphic animals thing. I mean she's married. She and her husband are good looking people.. you can't call "AHH UGLY FURRIES" on either of them. They have a very active social life outside of the fandom.. hell, their non-fandom social life is so much more active than their fandom social life. Both of them aren't really into the furry community or whatever and are more just into anthropomorphic animals.. yeah they have galleries on Yerf, but so does some guy (can't remember his name) who illustrates covers for Redwall books or whatever so I also call "Bullshit" (though not quite as loudly and boldly) on the whole "Yerfer" automatically = "Furry" thing.

Yeah I am reacting passionately to this not just 'cause I've known those two as friends, but also 'cause it just pisses me off that a lot of us here wished people in the fandom would act "normal" or whatever instead of sideshow freaks and than when a normal person like her gets displayed as a "sideshow freak" just 'cause her cats have breasts or whatever the fuck.. that just blows my top, in a bad way daddy-os.

I only go there to look at the weird news items, as for the forums they are a mess usually, and this thread is a good example as to why I seldom even bother to read them, they are'nt even entertaing for the most part, and alot of the seem to have the same reactions no matter what somebody says or does, or in the case of the artist in question, so she draws furry art and does somthing with a "relgious" theme so what, I've seen other artists do that. Big deal, it's thier right to do so.

I've heard one of them use the excuse that if people are going to lust over art anyway, no matter how innocent, there's not much they can do about it.

They may be hypocrites (aren't we all, at times)... but I am curious where "Thou shalt not draw sexy imaginary beings" can be found in the bible.
