It seems that Eat_all_furries LJ community has become suspended for something... right around 4:00PM

( )

I looked in earlier, didn't see anything that was all that offensive. I can't even remember what the last posting was about now.

Well it was right at 4 when it became suspended because I was reading something in it and when I refreshed it was suspended already so...

the last post (I think) was just a link to that 'Trek Wars: the furry conflict'

The only thing I can imagine it has anything to do with is those two happy-retards camelspider and the_hamburgler
I mean they spammed the shit out of PostVixen's LJ, then came back to EAF to brag about it

or maybe its just some administrative-type issue with one of the accounts of whoever actually runs that community...although the link from the suspension page indicates a TOS violation

lj has a long history of holding journals and espesially communities acountable for the posts in them

so your theory is probably right

Hello, friends. The administrator of eat_all_furries here to inform you of the community's official status.

After I found out about the suspension, which occurred without any kind of notification whatsoever and was reported to me by comrade Llewelyn, I inquired with LJ Abuse about the reason for the suspension and briefly explained the humorous purpose of the community. I suggested that it was likely a big misunderstanding.

Here is the response I received:

At the time of the community's suspension, both the community's user information page and the journal in question contained numerous threatening posts. Communities that are designed specifically to harass or threaten a specific minority, whatever that minority may be, are prohibited by the Terms of Service. While we understand that you may have intended for the community to be a joke, we cannot permit any community whose primary purpose appears to be to incite violence against a particular racial, ethnic, or social minority. As such, the community will not be reinstated.

Regards,
LiveJournal Abuse Team

So apparently, it was because we were threatening violence against furries.

...

Wait, what?

And since when did furries have "protected minority" status, anyway?

Information has just come to me through one of EAF's founding fathers that he has started an EAF bulletin board at http://pub37.ezboard.com/beatallfurries.

If you liked the EAF LiveJournal community, kindly join the bulletin board. Hopefully we can rekindle some of the fun of EAF minus the SA goons who were indeed probably key in getting the LJ community deleted.

SERIOUSLY lollin' here. This is up there with Side7 blocking any Portal Of Evil referrals in terms of sheer dumbassity.

Although if you think about it, it's really a no-brainer that LiveJournal considers furries a "protectable minority". I mean, they must make up something like 25% of it's userbase!

LJ is full of tards. I've taken up the hobby of temporarily friending people see how many whiny self-righteous pricks come flooding to bitch at me until I take them off. I even put a disclaimer up on my userinfo page telling them that if they don't kick up a fuss they'll be gone off the list within days, but still they come with their threats to report me to LJ abuse(whose official policy is "just fucking ignore it, jesus christ people").

The only thing funnier than a whiny ineffectual nerd is an angry whiny ineffectual nerd. Ho ho ho.

It really should be just called Watching and Watched By, and "friends" and "friend of" should be something completely different.
In fact just by using the words friends and friend of, kind of confused me on how it worked when I was reading the help info.

That way you could have people watching each others journals but neither of them has access to each other protected entries...I dunno, I still dont completely understand the whole service. The whole personal journal aspect I think is stupid. I only see certain instances where people would even bother keeping them (although it would be really no different for anyone to put a 'blog' on thier webpage). Its kind of just free blogspace for people. I think LJ's strengths would be communities and how you can network through interests. Also how a 'friends list' basically syndicates a list of things you are apt to be interested in an presents them to you.

With it called "friends" apperently its impolite or something not to add someone back? well wtf, I have stuff "friended" so thats all thats on the "friends" page - apperently theres groups and levels you can set up but, christ why do people gotta get all bent out of shape about it

Several of the communities I've joined they kind of function just as a chat or a bulletin board. You would mainly see this in local area groups. (I am watching a few Buffalo-related groups, and some hobby-type groups).

Plus, with the local stuff you have the possibility of getting Real-Life brand drama too !

I was on EAF for a little while. while there were lots of people on there that just kinda hated furry for stupid reasons, what pissed me off was there were plenty of members who really had great reasons for not liking the fandom. Either they'd been in it for a while or tried to and the fandom shat on them in some way or another. Those are the people who really had great discussions and ideas.
