Ever notice that you never see any gothic furry fans?

You'd think they'd be a perfect match, what with all their whining.

Still, I have several theories of why this is so...

1. Goths tend to be somewhat on the skinny side as opposed to morbidly obese

2. Goths tend to take some amount of pride in their appearance and have a sense of cleanliness

3. Goths, like everyone else, look down of Furries, and Furries are well aware of this

Or it could just be that whole "Vampire vs. Werewolf" nonsense.
Any other thoughts?

No, man theres a whole bunch of gothic furries. I mean its not a large percentage of the fandom, but they are definatly there. PLus, I seriously think that fury fandom is well on the way to becoming the 'new goth'.

Blair posted something about it before.

Its like, kids who want extra stigma, before it was makeup and black clothes , pretty soon it will be fox ears and tails pinned to your pants probably, bithcin about mundanes.

and yeah, you got crossover with all that other shit, weres and vampires and whatnot

Naa. There are tons of goth furs. Goths and furry seem to go together pretty well. Ultraskinny twink boys wearing nothing but black and acting all sad because their lives suck. Sounds like the last set of gay furs I had to put up with, excluding that wearing all black bit.

I think anyone illogical enough to believe that they have the “spirit of an animal” or are a werewolf or some BS like that is in need of some serious re-education.

Anyone who tries to identify in that way with a non-human animal has some serious issues relating to how they interact with the rest of humanity.

Someone claiming to be a "were" has problems. when their problems are solved, They rarely ever claim to be weres anymore.

That much at least one can learn from reading AHWW.

Were's always have "extenuateing circumstances", I.e miserable life, Struggleing with personal issues et al.

Sheesh. They're like polar opposite to one another. Goths are not depressed but try to act all melancholy, and furs often actually are depressed and try to act like they're not depressed. Pretty simple, really.

You know, I am a furre fan and I am about five feet five inches tall, I weigh a 'gigantic' (by what the author says) 103lbs. If being 20-30lbs underweight is 'morbidly obese' then I'm sorry.

Ahh, so we're dirty now? Pardon me, but I shower every day, sometimes twice if I have swimming or another outdoor event. I don't spend three hours fixing my hair in the morning but I care enough about myself to take care of my body. That includes brushing my teeth three times a day which is more than I could say for some. And what about the goths who wear torn and shreaded clothes covered in fishnet held togeather with bondage straps? You're saying that is decent? At least I've got a sence of decency enough to wear jeans and a sweater rather than a vynil miniskirt with a seethrough fishnet shirt and a bra.

I guess he's apperently anatomically correct now. They use that version of the costume at certain shows sometimes. Ive never seen that costume (Ive never seent he band live, for that matter) but I read it somewhere, I think it was some German GJ fan-site.

They are supposed to be currently touring with GWAR, or will be in the near future. Yeah, I dont think Im gonna go ...I dont like GWAR

Also, maybe you've not watched any anime, but I've noticed anthros throughout anime and I don't see you calling the japanese animators sexual deviants. Those who go to conventions to get into yiff-fests and gay orgies licking and humping eachother dressed up as the Easter bunny need their own category aside from those who draw furres or notice them in anime.

Since you're too narrow minded to put yourself in someone elses shoes you should make note that a lot of artists who do furres do them for commissions. (As we've all seen some just draw them for the sheer pleasure of watching a half demented animal who can walk on two legs take a dump) But other artists do them to make money because the furre FANS, the ones going to cons and screwing eachother like bunnies, are the one's begging to have their character drawn as if it was real. The furry fans can be pretty weird, but they have money, some artists get the money and draw furres in return.

Though I don't expect you to understand much of this, but to put it bluntly the people you are referring to are the crazed furry-fan convention goers who are featured on MTV and other various porn sites, and those artists who so love to draw furres taking dumps or ripping eachother appart during sex in VCL only to make the other artists look bad.

If you want to actually do something constructive move away from the computer, get a life, and realize that just because you are whining doesn't mean things will change because of you.

And in reference to your quote, you are correct, some furres are gross, disgusting, scat artists who jack off when they see animals taking a dump or when they're running around conventions groping eachothers stuffed and furry boobs. But not every furry fan is like that and that 'group' is disgusted that people would act in such a disturbing mannor, Don't steriotype everyone who mentions they like furres or who draws furry art, most artists I've talked to who draw furre hate cons and refuse to go because they're afraid and disgusted.

Get your steriotypes right before you use them. If you're going to say that everyone who likes furres/anthro are sexual deviants (which I've proven untrue by pointing out different classes of this 'cult' you speak of) Then don't forget to include the Egyptians, The Japanese, Disney, Pixar, Warner Brothers, and every child/teen/adult who has ever liked a Disney, pixar, or loony toons production. (let's not forget the little girls who love my little ponies and the boys who love ninja turtles)

Now that I've proven it is impossible for half of america and nearly all the children to be 'sexual deviants' part of this horrid 'cult' you may want to stick to the idea that the people you are speaking of are a completely seperate group. If you want a lable then think one up, you seem to be good at mindlessly labeling people. :)

Well, I was only joking in refering to you as a racist, but Im very sure thats the origin of the term. The peanut gallery, way back when, refered the black section of a movie theatre. Thus "no comments from the peanut gallery" carries a racial connotation to it. Obviously its changed, you used the term 'peanut gallery' differently (sort of). It doesnt really matter, I dont think it would seriously offend anyone, its been used differently for a very long time and its too old. I just like accusing people of racism when they use it cuz its kind of funny to me to do so
