But for all the RIGHT reasons!

And in case you're wondering where the 'furry' connotations are, just read through to the VERY LAST PANEL, where it will hit you like a harpoon to the left testicle!

Good thing I have quick nads. <g>

Page 12 makes me wonder if that pick of rippyfangs & mimi would go for mad cash on Furbid?

Moral of the story: don't feed french toast to your children every freaking morning.

I think.

I don't think it's on his site, but one of the dead-tree Deep Fried comics has Beepo and Roadkill's encounter with furries at a convention. A bit exaggerated, but very funny...

These comics made me think. I'm not that entrenched in this crap yet, but if I was...I dunno.

Maybe I should just quietly back out of this fandom before anything worse happens to me. Suggestions appreciated. Insults encouraged. Chides all but orgasmically anticipated.

When someone from AFF first discovered DF, he went onto the group and was getting all gushy about it because it had a talking cat. Seeing the possibility of yet another innocent artist being set upon by a horde of clueless yiffbeasts, I made mention about those three certain pages that the fanboy DIDN'T know about, and you could almost hear a needle-scratch as the enthusiasm died out quick for DF by the furries.

Mister Yungbluth has NO idea what sort of fate I spared him from suffering.

What do you mean 'happens to you'?

If you cant be your own man anywhere you go, then your doomed no matter what anyway.

Sorry, I'm never gonna buy that 'furry ruined my life' crap from anyone. Those are your own personal weaknesses.

You should pick up Dwyer's LCD comics if you havent already

Dude, trust me. Speaking from experience, being involved with furrydumb can SERIOUSLY skullfuck you in a most merciless way. My eight plus years of trying to cater to these loons as a zine publisher are a testimony to that.

I could easily bring this whole crowd down with stories from my time in college helping out at a battered women and childern's shelter, but I wont.

Needless to say the Deep Fried stuf is pretty funny. The Clarissa stuff is fucked up, but I'll say it's funny as well.

I think the guy has had a couple run in with Captain Googly Eyes, Kevin Duane. Would explain the throwing and licking.

This is why I'm considering completely disassociating myself with this whole wretched business, because I know that I deserve better than to be skullfucked by a bunch of socially-inept retards that would be better off in padded cells than walking about at cons.

I'm not a fresh-faced youngster to this shit; I've gotten hammered by Yerf and Side7 and a.f.f. and so many other archives, MB's, and galleries that it still hurts to sit down. So I'm starting to think that either: 1. I'm either too good for furry, or 2. I was never really a furry to begin with. Be that as it may, I still draw furry porn and look at furry porn. However, I never fursuit, don't go to cons any more, and find the political aspects of this fandom distasteful and reproachful, whatever the side I'm on. I tried Burned Fur for two years and found myself at the throats of both Charla Trotman and the whole mailing list. Either extreme is too much for me; I just want to draw my fucking furry smut and not get chastised for it. I've had RL girlfriends, I hold down a job at the IRS, I have a BA in graphics from a private college, I don't need bitter and regected furry muckrakers telling me how I'm supposed to live my life.

Present company excluded, at least for now.

Eh. I don't know, it's all a matter of choice. I did some horiffically retarded things, like pissing away money whist staving off a few contracts so I might spend more time in the fandom. Of course, this was my own choice - with dreams upon whispering wings of gothkittens and the livacious thighs of hermaphrodites. Ok, fine, I never went for either of those, but I quite enjoy the disturbing imagery.

Now I'm finally pulling away - and to commemorate this occasion, I'm selling and/or giving away anything 'furry' that I own. I'm going to keep my toys, but I have no reason to hold unto a box of once-leafed-through Genus, or to have a few crappy xeroxed prints upon my wall. It's not my life, it's not who I am.

Of course, I could rolleyes myself considering I have a toony avatar now, but a friend drew it for me, and I didn't even ask him too. No, Really.

Perhaps people who fly off the handle and have a warped perception of reality do not enjoy sharing their space with others. Ah, fuck it, I'm going to rolleyes you again. You just BEG for it.

By drawing furry pr0n and looking at it, yes.

Also, please note that private colleges cannot supply you with Breeding and good taste.

Only by marrying into the aristocracy can you get that

You have to know when to draw the line, and for most of us, it comes only AFTER we had opened our hearts and minds to others and gotten used and abused.

I'm going to once again say not all furs are scumbags. I've got some good friends in the fandom I trust. I've had help when I was at my lowest point. There's been some great fun times with a few. But those I know I can trust I can count on two hands' worth of fingers. Compared to the entirety of furry, they amount to a statistical aberration, a rounding error at most. I don't think of them as furs but as people who for whatever their reasons choose to sit on the dock and dangle their feet in the murky waters and take a chance on getting them removed by the piranha just beneath. I'm wearing Kevlar boots and carrying a cattle prod with 500KV these days.

But you come in thinking, "these are some weird, trippy, and some downright disturbed people, but all in all... (here's the pause where you reach deep down into whatever remains of your inner child and be charitable) ... they're pretty much harmless." And the result after a few years is, "I am so fucking sick and tired of this. How many times am I going to be forgiving and let this (these) bastard(s) do this to me?"

So yeah, this fandom can fuck with your head. There's the free will component where you have to open yourself to that but the alternative is to be a cynical asshole from the start in which case they will only fuck you over twice as hard because anyone who doesn't seem like they're a mark and a pigeon, is a definite threat to their psycho-emotional con games. Pretty hard to enjoy the harmless fun in furry without getting dragged at some point into stuff that will mess you up.

I can't speak for the other places since I can't even be bothered to look there for laughs anymore, but I do know you went ROYALLY batshit insane at Yerf. They had a decent reason to hammer you.

EDIT: You're that person a while back who whined about being banned from the Yerf forums for posting bestiality porn. Multiple times. Somebody's gotta be wondering what the living hell you're doing here.

Consider yourself qouted. Anyway about the comic.... that was really messed up at the end, kids got some serious problems thats for sure. Though I must admit that I kinda missed the point throughout the comic.... Maybe its just cause I'm tired.

Sorry, I'm never gonna buy that 'furry ruined my life' crap from anyone

Neither do I, its a choice really and if you don't like it than don't accnologe it, or do as we do: Try and open peoples eyes to how bad it has become.

We really don't want to open people's eyes to how bad things have become. Don't want people to rip out their eyeballs en mass now do we? (Event Horizon anyone?)
