Yeah, I wondered about that, and it definitely was produced for Burger King. If you Google for "subservient chicken" it's amazing how many people are mentioning it.

I was convinced it was live, but it turns out it's prerecorded Flash clips linked to phrases, about 300 of them.

No, I tried asking some original commands, like "Show me a book" and he went to the bookcase, and "run in circles 3 times" and he did.

If it is prerecorded, the AI is superb, albeit disturbing nonetheless.

Still, it's a lot more original and less retarded than the "Spongemonkeys" sellout to Quizno's.

eh, I dunno, I never thought this thing was anything other than pre-recorded. Probably because when I first went to it I typed 2 similiar commands that caused the exact same footage, and also it always 'hops' back to the exact same spot. The guy wasnt always nailing it completely when he would get back into position.

Try telling him to throw the pillows, you notice after he throws them, he gets back to the spot forgetting to pick all the pillows and put them back. Theres a slight pause as he either remembers or someone tell him.

Stuff that is cool though is how the same command will do different stuff sometimes so it seems more like communicating with a real person. I probably would have thought this was real if I asked him to leave the room - he just walks out and then comes right back.

Im wondering if at some point after this ad campaign ends, years from now, this chicken slave costume will resurface at a furry con.

Doing a web search on this very story turned up CYD on the first page, and I was like "Holy fuck! That place still exists? Un-fucking-believable!" I've been to the site, and yes, it is creepy. This is coming from someone who didn't see what the fuss was about that furry snuff thing that was discussed a while back. Not for people of unstable emotional states.
