How about one involving a Star Trek convention.

It starts when they find a guy dressed as a Klingon dead in a cornfield, he was really into cosplay and pointed his faux disruptor at a farmer, who shot him in self defence. But they don't know this and think some other guys that were involved in the cosplay shot him.

Of course, I woulden't go giving a Klingon scritches ;)

How about a an episode set at a comic con, a fat bloated fanboy is found dead on the jhon in one of the hotel bathrooms, and he's got a hedious red rash covering half of his body, turns out he had a alergec reaction from the comeing in contact with the still damp, but freshly cleaned toilet seat, must has been the soap used to clean it...
