"Furry" isn't about animals...

"Furry" isn't even about sex...

"Furry" is about DRAMA!

Dramatic sex.. followed by post-sex drama.

If it isn't about who's fucking whom, it's about who's getting fucked over by whom.

Ironically, a lot of furries HATE drama.

My, just a fun bunch of psychos, aren't they?

I am, of course, of the firm belief that there is no such thing as "sanity."

No, no... I don't mean drama as a genre, I mean drama as a way of life.

Over-the-top melodrama, at that.

Furry drama is about as normal as an oral bowel movement. It's so... self-perpetuating for the most part. It'd almost be amusing if it wasn't so fucking sad. Ok, no... it'd still be fucking sad.

I hate to have to keep going against the grain here ( :D ), but theres a hell of a lot of melodrama with people who leave furry fandom too, acting like it was some terrible, traumatic part of thier past...its fandom - a very loose knit interest-based social grouping, give me a break

anyway, just an observation

Unless you've had some 500lb smelly guy who thinks his inner soul is a skunk either try to rub up against you for sexual gratification, or ask you to draw his character engulfing a bear while shoving a python up his ass, I think you doth protest too much.

Been there, done that, got the marks on my knuckles from it. You wouldn't think a butter worm would have that much bone structure.

Dramatic sex and post-sex drama? Most furries can't manage sex. The ones who do, well we probably wish they wouldn't with a few exceptions.

Hey, I have tried...

Locking him up.
Bribing Him.
Giving him what he calls "His Precioussss" back.
Feeding him his favorite bugs.
Entertaining him with pan flute music.

Nothing works to keep him away.

I will do my best though.

You know what you have to do!

And I did. This under tall, over weight faggot (and for the record, I was told by a guy that flames so much you could use him to grill burgers at Burger King that it was ok to call this lard whale a faggot... I felt empowered) kissed me on the lips and giggled about it, batting his eyes at me. I hit him just above the eye, hard as I could. Lots of blood. I was happy.

I may be bi, but no one, NO ONE kisses me without permission.

When did this happen? Can you provide links, names, dates et al?

Because I imagine something like that would create lots of drama.

Did it happen in public?

Did you feel embaressed by what happend and thus felt the need to demosntrate to everyone that you were not a "fag" by hurting him?

Do you consider assault and actual bodily harm to be an excessive reaction to a kiss?

Did you feel threatend by him?

Did you stop to consider that you could have hurt him very badly indeed?

I know the skull is very hard and has evolved to protect our brain, however the brain itself has nowhere to expand when suffering trauma and so it just squashes up against the skull and it can haemorrhage et al.

Private party I went to with friends.

Because I imagine something like that would create lots of drama.

So would I, but this was at least two years ago, and again it was a private party I went to with friends.

Did it happen in public?

Nope.

Did you feel embaressed by what happend and thus felt the need to demosntrate to everyone that you were not a "fag" by hurting him?

My private space was broken and a kiss is considered assualt by the law. There are enough cases on it.

Do you consider assault and actual bodily harm to be an excessive reaction to a kiss?

Nope.

Did you feel threatend by him?

Nope. Surprised mostly.

Did you stop to consider that you could have hurt him very badly indeed?

Didn't give a shit at the time. Still don't.

Please don't tell me you're trying to insinuate that that guy didn't get what he deserved. If some lardball tried to kiss me out of fucking nowhere, I'd have done the same thing.
So would most women, come to think of it, so don't pull this "not liking male strangers kissing you = homophobia" bullshit. Despite what some furries seem to believe, that sort of shit is unacceptable.

Ah, so no details can ever be produced thence to back up the claim.

Forgive me if I do not hail your manliness from the rooftops and salute you as a manly man thus.

Interestingly enough, the first references To a man being more "manly" than another man is in a tale of outlaws from about 1515.

Nope. Surprised mostly.

Then why did you hit him?

Generally, People will fight if they feel threatened.

Thus, I would guess that you felt that your manliness had been threatened.

It’s got nothing to do with homophobia, but everything to do with acceptable behaviour.

I hope you're not trying to insinuate that Actual bodily harm is better or an acceptable response to kissing someone without their permission.

Some people seem to be under the impression that it’s perfectly acceptable for men to aid their “honour” with violence in order to prove that they are manly men.

That attitude is so 16th century that’s not funny.

that sort of shit is unacceptable.

Of course it is, if you let a strange man kiss you, it implies that you are gay.

And of course, the word gay, fag et al are used as casual insults today and thus it would be taken as a slight upon your “manhood”, “honour” or whatever you want to call it.

In some ways, we are still living in the 16th century. Or more likely certain aspects of young male behaviour are a constant strand throughout.

Sirrah, your face offends my dagger.

you art a wearer of horns by your wife, and she hungers for tenderloin not of yourn.

Oh, you will regret that.

*Stab*

argggh.

I seriously doubt anyone would punch a women who kissed them without permission, since that sort of thing is not covered by manliness et al.

*Grumble* behaviour of young males all high on testosterone *grumble*

‘Tis but a labour of Sisyphus I’m afraid.

That’s a reference to Greek mythology; Sisyphus was the bloke who was cursed to push a rock up acrocorinthus, and then have it roll down again when he’d done it.

The idea being, that there is no curse greater than hopeless and futile labour.

Don’t say you never learnt anything from me.

I'm just *so* clever. :D

I was raised Catholic, thank you.

And you know what YOUR problem is, YOU have a black-and-white view of the world.

But tell you what, next time you find yourself accosted and/or molested by an unnatractive stranger, just be sure to verbalize your displeasure in a calm, civilized manner between gropes, for to do anything else would obviously reek of close-minded, hateful intolerance.

Eh, don't get me started on the history the Catholic Church.

In the 17th century, one of the popes decided it would be a good idea to force all the Jews in the Papal States into ghettoes and make them wear yellow hats.

Also, they would be forbidden to own property, So, They'd have to sell all their property at a knockdown price to various merchants, Of course Surprise! Surprise! These merchants just happened to be good friends of the pope. :o(

And you know what YOUR problem is, YOU have a black-and-white view of the world.

mmmm, I don't think so.

I do realise that "morals" and "ethics" et al as we articulate them are nothing more than subjective human umm... Thingies.

After all, We cannot divine what OUGHT to be, from what IS. All morality et al, is therefore an arbitrary construct with varying degrees of justification.

So what about when a woman clobbers a perfect *male* stranger when he tries to kiss her out of the blue? It can't be homophobia.. so... TADA.... lots of folks just don't like being kissed by someone they don't know. Violence may be overkill, but an aversion to unprovoked contact by a stranger... especially what could be considered intimate contact.. is just not something most folks dig.

That’s different.

Women are (supposed to be) passive and either accept or reject the overtures of the male.
