because the former three were made by 'hyoomans',so it's only proper for furries to have their service for online journals.

I think the estimate that they are like 25% percent of the userbase is close...if not ..they are at least one of the largest single social groups on there

The odd thing is, Furry is supposedly about tolerance for differeing lifestyles, opinions et al.

And yet where do all the furries go?

To livejournal, where it is easy to prevent other people from expressing their opinions and where you can retreat into a little world of just your friends and your ego strokeing.

Eh.... furries figure they can "furryify" anyting by copying whatever widget is at hand and putting "yiff" or "fur" in it's name. Take a PDA and store NightKrawler porn on it... call it an FDA (Furry Data Assistant) and it's T3H FURR13! Take a bottle of Evian and change the name to Yiffian and it's T3H FURR13! It's like if a dog pissed on a building to mark it as his. Sure, it's got the pee stain, but the building pretty much remains what it was before. Furries tried marking LiveJournal as theirs by peeing on it, but the resulting shock and computer repair bill soon deterred such notions.

i don't think there's any more furries on the livejournal than any other area of the internet. apparently you all are just looking at furries' livejournals. I've spent some time reading friend's livejournals and from my observation the same people who use LJ are the same people who take up myspace and friendster, bascially young people who want to network and "befriend" other people. Yes, some furries use the LJ but the LJ world seems to me just to be a large blogging community and not really furry dense or furry popular, not even in the very slightest. Talk about a skewed perspective, come on y'all, the whole world isn't furry.

What is this phurraie invasion people talk about on LJ?

I honestly don't see any lifestylers raining on my parade over there.

Of course, the only reason why I have an account is to talk with friends and associates who have LJ.

But, we all know that Yahoo groups has been infested, and DeviantArt has a mix of normal artists, anthro artists, and outright phurrs.

Makes me glad the forums I run on conforums are strictly regulated to be "family oriented". Haven't seen any atrocities there yet.
