Direct-linking is the easiest kind of image "theft" to fight and additionally the most entertaining.

The key is not to just change the URL so that he is linking to an absent file. Instead, upload something else under the same name and see how long it is before he realizes that his player portrait is no longer a busty fox-wench but rather Pikachu and Godzilla getting busy with each other.

ROFL! Now THAT's evil! I love it!

Art theft? On a furry based mmorpg? SURELY YOU JEST.

All you need to know about Furcadia. It's a scary, scary place. Along with all of the immature jerks and incompetent operators, there's this strange breed of people that actually search for arguements. I guess, in the end; it's much easier to hide behind a monitor and do such things. Stealing art, picking fights and whatnot.

P.S. That idea of changing the file someone is direct linking to is a great idea. I'd love to see that. (And then fail to point it out to the person linking to it.)

I played furcadia for a long-ass time, observing and striking out with the occaisional cutting insult directed at particularly laughable people. That game is hilarious. I just wish there still was a geno invasion of it.

SA and a lot of SA members do this all the time, and with especially horrifying pictures. People have had their direct links replaced with spincock, beecock, fishcock, lemon party, the pain series, and, of course, goatse. It's always entertaining. :)
