Okay, so this is something that kept popping into my head and I didn't know any better place to evacuate it than here.

What about mailing the 700 Club (or some other group) and tipping them off to an insidious, hidden threat to families with children in households across America? The letters could be from a coalition of parents who've all discovered ties between their kids disturbing behaviour at home and some sort of sexualy-charged online community come to be know as 'furry'.

Of course this all starts from one parent finding bizarre pornographic animal drawings on the family computer, but instead of being puzzled and thinking no more of it they look a little closer and realize there's more to it, much, much more. Hundreds of websites devoted to the subject, filled with kids espousing hatred of family, government, humanity, religion and self while celebrating depraved sex and suicide and all those things. Worst of all, worst of all it's filled with more kids falling into it every day and being prayed upon by older, more experianced adults in the "fandom".

The biggest hurdle would be to make it good enough to keep it from being laughed out and thrown in the kook section. Most people don't even know it exists, some don't believe it even when told. It'd have to sound convincing, have the right set of evidence laid out to show it's both real and dangerous. The hook would have to be that it is something unknown to parents, but that any kid could get involved easily, exposing it as a menace on par with online child predators.

No, I don't plan to do this, but it's an idea. I'm willing to see it happen and enjoy the fallout. I'm also surprised no one on the outside (the real world) has made the connection between their kids drawing animal porn, acting like a little anarchist wannabes and running around in public dressed like bushy-tailed sprinkle faeries. It's going to happen eventualy, I can just smell the a grassroots awareness among parents around the corner, can't you? When it does, it'll be a furry Armageddon.

That would be a proactive thing to do and that would require effort, I’d rather just sit here and sigh, and then sadly feel sad about trainwrecks of life and wish for a better world where there is justice for all.

It would be like smashing your T.V because you didn't like one program.

And if furry fandom got whacked good, where would all my Anubis pr0n come from? :(

One of the reasons I was banned from FurryMUCK way back when was because they caught wind of the fact that I had sent emails to places like The Daily Show (prior to them ever having shown anything on furries) and The Jerry Springer Show and had given them links and logs to places where they could find info on furrydom to see if they thought it had any "entertainment value" for their show.

Of course, FM's story was that I had shared my account with another user (some may recall the rather abrasively outspoken Random) that had been banned. Naturally, that was complete BS, and a simple review of the sources from which my characters had logged in would have illustrated whether or not logins would have originated from anywhere other than my own ISP and such. They were basically just pissed that I had included FM in my list with info on choicer places to go, like the Purple Nurple.

Actually if the 700 club of all fucking places came out against furry fandom in any serious way ..that would suddenly make furry fandom, uhm very very cool

I dont know how..Im just saying thats what would happen.

Uptight white people making outrageous claims and launching N.I.M.B.Y.-style campaigns against geek subcultures or other insignificant/already-marginalized groups is really not my scene.

What if we got Dave Chappelle to denounce furries on public television?

i agree it's to much of a task and not really worth it. there is alot more in the world to worry about and try and fix.

besides the fandom is something that will eventually die out or be ignored by everyone outside of it like the UFO movement and other odd groups of people.
