There's a thin line between porn and what some would deem art. This is the same reason magazines like Playboy have articles in them instead of page after page of pictures.

Basicly, 'art' is done for a reason other than to get off to. It's called 'artistic merit'. When art doesn't have that and it features nudity/sexual acts, it's porn. End of story.

They also need to keep in mind that DA is not VCL.

I don't think of my art as pornographic... I think of it as an expression of my deep feelings for Wolves. It's my passion manifest in art... my fantasies... a realease for the frustration I feel for being trapped in this human germ. Art is where one is supposed to feel free to express oneself - to let go... let it all out. I find the fact that DeviantArt is calling my art "inappropriate" and deleting it, even after I have taken steps to censore it, extremely insulting.

Of course he doesn't think of it as pornographic. Of course, since he fails to take into account that most of the populace doesn't share his affinity for dog cock, he doesn't see that his work is going to be viewed as porn by the icky mundanes. The "animals do it in nature" defense doesn't hold up, either, when you're depicting a contrived situation like wolves fucking a deer. Yes, animals mate. Sure, Discovery Channel shows it. But you're not going to see a multispecies orgy with dripping cocks on Animal Planet.

Plus, I love the "human germ" part. Bitching about the effects humans have on the Earth is the lazy man's way of trying to feel like they're not part of our impact on the planet. One can only assume that Ebon's art expended art supplies and such don't get separated for recycling. Sheets of paper with rejected drawings most likely find their way to the trash. I've seen a news article about a family that generates about 5 bags of trash a year because they recycle freaking everything. Anyone can bitch about how we're impacting the Earth. It takes work and effort to be a part of the solution... which isn't going to happen overnight. Humans are doing the best we can at the moment, collectively contending with dead weight attitudes from old timers that dump their motor oil into the storm drain and such... but we're moving in the right direction. Folks like Ebon talk a good talk, but they don't help the problem by whining. They add to the problem by not getting off of their sorry asses, rolling up their sleeves, and pitching in with the rest of us.

It's like having 5 people standing around bitching about how their public playground has become a mess. Four of them grab some bags and start picking up trash. Even if they don't get every last bit of litter, they're still making a difference. Then you have the one fruit in the tye-dyed shirt and Birkenstocks bitching about how it's a sorry state of affairs that the park got that way, but not actually picking anything up. Which ones are helping the situation more?

And, really, by generating the kind of artwork that he does, whether you consider it art or porn, he's adding to the festering of the human "germ." He's not promoting oneness with nature or loving relationships between peoples with different backgrounds. He's just peddling dripping cocks. He's not promoting love, he's promoting lust. His work doesn't laud the beauty of a form.. like Michelangelo's David celebrating the artistry of the human form as created by whatever divine force you believe in.... his work reduces a body.. human or otherwise.. to little more than a life support and transport system for a penis. He perpetuates the imagery of wolves in the way a womanizer views women... just a pair of tits and a vagina... not something with thoughts, feelings, beauty and uniqueness. He's towing the same party line for bestialists as NAMBLA does for pedophiles. Skunkwerks goes into that a bit. Big points to him for arguing that people are opposed to bestiality because they love animals. He makes a very valid point that there is a trust built up between humans and domesticated animals, and that using them for sexual gratification is a violation of that trust. (As much as he likes to dig on the Catholic church, Ebon and his german shepard is basically the furry equivalent of his view of a Catholic priest and an altar boy.)
