Hmm. Humans when compared to lower animals have an extended period between infancy and pubescence that we call 'childhood'. It's supposed to be the time we learn and develop socialy and emotionaly, to prepare us for living in a society that's a little more complex than just sniffing each others asses and biting each other.
On one hand, that allows some leeway when it comes to developmental norms, but on the other if the child's not being allowed by the parent to advance normaly, then it becomes a problem. This story is probably just at the extreme end of what's considered 'normal' (like how a lot of kids don't get out of diapers till they're three), and at least the mother here is aware that it's about time to stop.
I'll admit I was taken aback when I started reading it and was ready to chalk it up as another example of parental incompetence and personal obsession superceding the needs of the child, but as long as the mother is aware and concerned of the kids development and the child turns out okay, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Though yeah, any longer and it get's into creep-fest territory. I also doubt that it can be healthy for the child if that's ALL they're eating. It's probably better than junk food and soda, but some solid food becomes essential. |

| Now, if she were to wean the child by having it nurse on the dog... this would be the prime example of how to rear a furry - socially inept, odd, if not downright hedonistic views... oh, and a fair bit of tit. :wink: |

Actually I read a worse story (same thing) It was probably in the 'news of the weird', but i can't remember now. A woman was arrested for child abuse for several different things, one of which was breast-feeding a 13 year old.
5 years old is really bad, but weird shit happens in fucked up homes...who knows why a mother would even do that in the first place. |
