Dawn Griffiths was never a particularly stable individual. I talked with her long before Portal Of Evil ever knew about her, and at first she acted more or less about as dorky as anyone else who felt they needed to express an affinity over some dumb talking rat movie on the interweb. Eventually she got worse and worse, using characters and stuff from the movie to act out whatever the hell was wrong with her.

The resulting website eventually made it onto Portal Of Evil, and for a while she was blissfully unaware her site was listed. She only recently found out- and has been raising hell. She's gone to several lawyers-actual, real lawyers- asking if it's possible to bring about a LAWSUITE against Portal Of Evil for slander/libel/whatever. Of course, she was politely laughed at so now she's trying another approach - faking e-mails from Don Bluth's production company. See, it's priceless because she thinks the people who made the movie are going to have less of a reason to sue her for her fansite (which by the way offloads some not-so-kosher fanart to this Yahoo group) than to sue the people making fun of her fansite.

Did I mention I love the internet?

Christ, what a dumbshit. sort of a microcosm of fu*ry fan pathology. But not only does she make a fool of herself, she stains the object of her obsession.
'cause 'Secret of NIMH' is the shiznit. It's the darkest mainstream American animation I can think of. (That isn't saying much for the state of american animation however)
Dunno, maybe I'm just not hooked up with the good stuff.

POE is great.
Another I gotta plug is the Rotten library

If someone goes to see a movie and think that it fucking blows, they can go home and write, and then publish, a vicious, scathing review of it. Where do people get this idea that publishing over the internet is any different?

I read the book in high school and REALLY like it, more recently I have seen the cartoon.

The book was so much better than the movie I kind of have a hard time understanding why people get so fucked up over it. It was really more for kids, and while it had a lot of good points to it (sort of) - I think the only reason I can enjoy the cartoon is because I liked the book first and just rodent characters in general. (I liked the first Redwall book even though it was kind of simplistic)

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats was something pretty much anyone could enjoy. I think the whole story was way more meaningful on all kinds of levels.

Oh yeah, the book was better, but then again it always is! :)
Not too bad of a conversion to film, unlike the 'Sam and Max' cartoon series - ouch
And theres no damn MAGIC in the book, which is good, at least in this case

Look on the bright side,She could have been an AKIRA fan(Gosh Mr. Reporter, one minute th' 7/11 was thar n' then bang!an' this kid with wairy hair comes stompin' out!) All idiocy aside, this is one of many similar encounters I've had with "DAS PHURRIES"than pushed me away from the genre...and the tragidy among the comedy?..Another dysfunctional lost soul....PHURRIES!....They make crazy people, and people crazy!
