But if you're determined to dress up like a cat, any costume store worth its salt should have the necessary accessories.

where can you get to CYD from ? what type of google searches will lead you here? seems the main avenues would be PoE and various furry sites
(now im kind of curious...mitch, do you use extreme tracking?id like to know the leading referers)

i find it weird as hell that she could skip probabaly 50 more relevant places and instead come here to ask this type of thing

Well, we get a lot of people coming via a Google search for us, a goodly crowd via links posted to PoE, and also a scattering coming from various LiveJournals, furry sites, and other discussion boards. I like to visit the referring pages and see how we've been described - some of my favourites are on our front page. On the whole visits are averaging about 68 per day - though that includes repeat visits.

Don't get your hopes up. Cats don't tend to accept new members from outside the family, if you get what I mean. In fact, they would consider your membership request laughable if they weren't too busy sleeping or wandering around like they own the place (which, of course, they do for all intents and purposes).

I probably shouldn't encourage you like this, but I know a girl who made a fairly decent fox costume out of tin foil and paper mache(sp?). If you're interested in getting tips on that, I s'pose I could send you her address.

My opinion/answer to the original question would probably be to work on getting over it? You can never be a true furry, it's just not possible, and it's gonna cost you alot of mental energy trying. Maybe that is just me though, maybe I'm just not as "attached."
