It being the con season and all, I haven't browsed their forum in over 3 months so I looked over at it today. Things are really doggone strange. There's someone banning everyone and I thought it was just joking around. I just happened to IM 2-3 people I know who were forum users and it seems those people actually -are- getting banned for no reason other than opening their mouths. Some of them are posting on topic, some are just anti-furs doing nothing strange - they're just getting banned for what seems to be almost no reason other than the whim of the moderators. In the meantime, lots of actual furries don't seem to be getting banned... but i don't know for sure, i'm just reading the forum so there's no way to tell really. I think they must have given mod power to someone who is actually literally insane.

I poked about on EAF for about 2 weeks before giving up on it. They don't want any real discussion of furry fandom or where it came from or where it's going. The powers that be over there don't have the knowledge of furrydom that folks here do, and they're not clever enough to attain SA's level of satire. Basially, it's a few kids poking at a dead furry's body with a sharp stick and laughing in Beavis and Buttheadesque fashion. That became pretty clear to me when they ganged up on someone for having an average-sized banner in their sig as if the were posting multiphallic clydsedale images.

I actually had a posting account there but i deleted it long ago. In fact, I was around about the time you were posting there, if that gives you an idea of how long ago it was I was last there. And I left it for the same reason you apparently did. But I wasn't totally driven away, I just knew I wouldn't ever post there again. I lurked on their now-defunct LJ community last year. At the time, they seemed actually fairly intelligent, but i don't think any of the original members are in the present EAF now. There were at least a some people in EAF's LJ and at the start of their ezboard that were old-school furries who knew what they were making fun of. They may have been a bit young but they were former furries, like us. I did notice back then that their board was getting slowly taken over by people who knew nothing about furry fandom at all and the real former furries just dropping off. But I didn't read it so often to really get a grasp on things.

I poked around some more a few minutes ago. Whatever's happening, they're keeping just about anyone and everyone from posting there at all, no matter who. Everyone who posts as much as a simple reply to -anything- is getting supposedly "banned" by this 'stiv' person.. assuming that is the person in charge now.

yep, i was one of them. I got banned last week while talking very much on topic about Post Vixen. I thought it was quite odd at the time too. Oh well.

how do you account for all the people that have -actually- gotten banned for literally doing nothing? You have Charisma up there saying she also got banned for doing nothing out of the ordinary. The other 2 people i know got banned said the exact same thing.. they posted on topic and/or funny yet somehow suddenly banned for nothing. I don't know who's in charge of the place, all i know is what i heard. i was just curious - and bored... I have no con this weekend.
