Hi all

Am new here (shock horror!) and to be honest this is the first furry forum ive joined, so for the moment im just enjoying the view.

I was reading a previous thread... What type of furry uses this forum?

A better question (I may as well play the innocent and uninformed cos I sort of am) What would you consider to be going through the head of a furry?

Appart from all the new terms and lingo, I always considered there to be many catagories to the furry category. Going from pictures involving anthro creatures to full coital bliss. And now I hear that there is dissention?

Well, this thread will be locked as soon as Computolio lays his eyes on it. But I'll try to answer some of your questions. First, take a look at this. Most of us are 'recovering' or ex furries. Here we attempt to make sense of all this crap that is (part of) furry. And yes, here there be much dissention.

Now quickly into this fire suit before someone else comes along!

The ones with a sense of humour about themselves and don't jump screaming to the fandom's defence at every perceived slight.

Furries vary a lot, from the full-on yiffmonsters to old-fashioned funny animal fans. I wouldn't say there's any such thing as the "average furry". Although for comedy purposes we might caricature the "average furry" as an ugly fanboy who roleplays a hot hot vixen online, has a staggering collection of furry pr0n, and is a stranger to soap. Oh yes indeed. And how. If you've never heard of the Burned Furs, for instance, you might like to read this page. Unlike those desperadoes, though, we don't plan on "cleaning up" the fandom or any megalomaniac stuff like that.
