Spotted this on AFF just a bit ago.

Anyone else think that this can only lead to hilarity?:

*************************

Mick Collins of the Dirtbombs (www.thedirtbombs.net) asked me to
send this out, as he's touring and has sporadic Internet
access. If you know of any groups that would be interested in this
(most likely fursuiter groups or Los Angeles furries), please pass
this message along.

The video is for a new single, entitled "The Sharpest Claws".
We're hoping for a turnout of furries in the audience, ideally
people with full-body fursuits, although really nice prosthetic
makeup will be equally acceptable.

It might be worth noting that this is not some non-furryfan idea,
I'm a con-going furryfan (since CF3), and the song is (obviously)
furry-oriented. We want all the fursuits we can get! As an added
incentive, I'll 'let slip' here that the video's director will be
David Cross, of 'Mr. Show' fame.

Anyway, the shoot is scheduled for the 13th of October, with maybe
part of the 14th if needed. Anyone interested (and I hope that
would be everybody with a fursuit able to get to Los Angeles on
Oct. 13th :) should call 323.259.1529 for more info. Thanks, and
see you there...

*************************

And the sad part is, in spite of decades of bad press, fursuiters will flock to this anyway. They know that they're being used, but the attention whore in each of them is just too hard to resist. It's like watching a retard goofing around near a lit stove and yowling "OWWW! It hurt! Bad stove you bad! OWWWWWWW! It hurt again! Bad bad stove! Stop making owiebads at me! OWWWWWWW!!!!.....".

And well, we all saw those fur dance videos to guess how this is gonna end up looking, don't we?

Wow, I've actually got one of their CDs (Ultraglide in Black), which I listen to sporadically.
Although I was a bit curious when I saw this, I never figured that the famous Mick Collins was an honest-to-god furry. Oddly enough, though, I can't really bring myself to care about it one way or another.

Back to the main topic, however, I'm finding it impossible to think up ANY music video concept involving fursuiters that is anything less than utterly fucking hilarious. Converting to Christianity right now in order to pray to God that this video finds itself online soon.

I doubt it'd be CSI bad, but it would be goofy at the least... more like furry dorks than furry freaks.

Kind like the dancing equivalent of this.

Fred Patten (and probably a few others) compiled a collection of the best furry short stories from the past 15 years - Best in Show (ISBN 0-9712670-1-4)

Anyway, one of Mick Collins stories is in there, its pretty good actually. "A Snapshot from Fayetteville".

Thats the only reason I know who he is though, how are the Dirt Bombs?

What, haven't you seen that one music video they played constantly on MTV of that one band that had like, what, a rabbit mascot/fursuit outfit in the background playing a guitar, I think. Not like it'd be the first time such has been done.

Some people just weren't born with a dance gene. I feel that way a lot at regardless of what type of con I go to.

Techno Music was not made for dancing.

Good God, last time I remember watching MTV, I'm pretty sure Kurt Cobain was still alive, so I'm a bit out of date as far as music videos go. From what I hear, it's gone completely down the shitter over the last decade, I didn't know they even showed music videos anymore.

As of about 4 years ago(I think that's the last time I watched MTV, could be longer though) they did play music videos, on occasion. Mostly only either on TRL or at some ungodly time when no reasonable person should be expected to be awake(I think they're called "daylight hours"?), and some were on after loveline. I belive most of them have since been shunted over to MTV2(MTV's second extended cable channel that they were launching at the time) with it's audience of only certian digital cable or satalite subscribers.

Don't watch MTV at all.. but when channel surfing, it seems pretty much what it used to be 15 years ago... What else would they do but show videos?
-Air live concerts? Ha! =)
Less and less white music tho... But the important thing is that Beavis and Butt-head still rerun. =)
And I heard Happy Tree Friends airs as well...

Oh and this video was..most intriguing.... http://www.video-c.co.uk/microshow.asp?vidref=benn001&FileType=ADSLstream

Mmm...Jumblies...

Oddly enough it's a broadcast station where I live. I'm not sure when, but it replaced something called The Box, a channel where people could call in and request a video to be played for a small fee. I remember they used to get a lot old-school rap videos like Baby Got Back, Humpty Dance, Beepers, The Gas Face, Rump Shaka' and the like. I think I was like 10 at the time. They also played a some metal like Motley Crue, which is probably the first time I really got rock as being this big, loud, drive-faster sort of thing (the rap was just silly to me at the time, but then again rap really was silly back then).

Damn, this is gonna be a Trainwreck to end all fucking Trainwrecks

Anybody know what song they're using it that second one? It sounds like sappy 80's pop, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a sucker for sappy 80's pop.

EDIT: I just noticed me and Donny are tied for number of posts! though he still far outstrips me in artistic skill, so it's a hollow accomplishment

A quick search at OneHitWonderCentral.com turned up 'Timmy T.'
A sappy love-song artist from the early 90s, had two mentionable albums, but allaround failed miserably.

Thanks, I see Kazaa has a few versions floating around including a remix. I wonder how I'd go about giving it that high-pitched sound? I have this idea of a romantic Rescue Rangers scene with Chip singing that song to Gadget (when I was a kid I had this one fantasy scene were he sings her "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" by John Lennon. It actualy might have been my own self-insertion character in there trying to impress her, but I can't remember it all clearly)

See, there's a space betwixt embarassing reality and absolute bullshit; I survive in that space. I may be telling you the truth, but can always back out of it all as being a joke. but most of it is all true

Very lol-full indeed, I didn't make the flash, but I know that Adobe Premier has an option to raise the pitch of any audio without changing the speed of play. Premier is a bit much for audio editing, I'd assume that Fruity Loops or some other audio program has the same option.

PS. Rescue Rangers forevah, mutha fugga :O!!!

Did anyone watch last night's "The Daily Show"? There was a segment about gayness in the animal kingdom, with a zoo expert on one side talking about the three pairs of gay penguins they had (one lesbo, two turd-burglar), and one typical homophobic bible-banger on the other who felt that all this talk about "gay penguins are just an attempt to force the gay lifestyle on America's children" and challenged the notion that critters could be gay.

The "journalist" conducting the interview asked "What about Chip & Dale then?" and they ran a brief clip of C&DRR, and then back to the homophobe, who just sat there dazed for a few seconds before he could reply.
