Don't listen to furs who come in here trying trying to defend the fandom. Most of the furs you'll meet in person are not only strange but may send you fleeing home to hide under your mama's skirts like the little wuss that you are. I'm quite glad that this bothers someone. It makes me feel like I'm taking part in the slow-motion destruction of the old Victorianesque ideas about morality and propriety, and nothing gets my rocks off quicker than hearing the death screams of Puritanism dying of a thousand cuts. We're tearing shit down, and fifty years from now, you'll thanking us!

Simple. World is evil, victorian and with high moral standards. Or something.

Furries are not, and they're against the world.

Furries are perverts and they love being perverts. Being a furry is the perfect excuse to be a pervert 'cause you are a furry. Or something.

Me....Victorianesque? Puritanism? I say, throw that bounder in the stocks. When Cotton Mather returns from his witchhunt, we'll show this heathen how we run things here. Yea, verily. Verily, yea.

Durnnit...can't get used to buckling my shoes, but I like the black and white dress code. That's me, the White & Black Attack.

The first sentence is asinine, but I agree wholeheartedly with the second. Furries are indeed a source of comedy. QED.

In that case, we reserve the right to laugh at what we find laughable on the furry fandom. There's a lot of laughable material on the furry fandom.

We reserve the right to get outraged at what we find outraging on the furry fandom, and there's also a lot of material.

We also reserve the right to analyze our experiences regarding the furry fandom be they positive or negative. And, unfortunately, most of them are negative.

We're also free to chuckle at the mere idea of a group of people pretending they're no people, beyond the society and beyond any manners other than immediate satisfaction.

And of course we're free to make this a huge thread plenty with replies to a pretty stupid post like yours, and transform it into an useless flamefest like in AFF, 'cause that's what we like to do. :)

We don't.

Most of the furs you'll meet in person are not only strange but may send you fleeing home to hide under your mama's skirts like the little wuss that you are.

I doubt it. I don't think any of the people here finds anything or anyone in the fandom all that strange when you come down to it, certainly not in a "run away screaming" sense. Even the "strangest" furries are pretty damned pedestrian when all's said and done, despite the best efforts of certain of them to be all wacky and crazy in a 'hey look how terrifically eccentric and interesting I am' way. They're funny, yes, very funny, but it's purely unintentional on their part.

I'm quite glad that this bothers someone.

Well if you bump into them, be sure to send them along.

It makes me feel like I'm taking part in the slow-motion destruction of the old Victorianesque ideas about morality and propriety, and nothing gets my rocks off quicker than hearing the death screams of Puritanism dying of a thousand cuts. Yes, damn those stupid obsolete ideas about showing consideration for others and self-responsibility and restraint and all that tired, worn-out crap. This is the 21st century after all! Yes, I will be sure to send abundant thanks when the day comes that I can thrust my turgid man-rod in the face of anyone I choose without fear of what fuddy-duddy society might say!

How ironic! I'm laughing at you guys because you are barbarians and think that the customs of your tribe and island are the laws of nature. Your laughable belief that what would be malapropos in your little bubble world should be universally held to be lowly or immoral eclipses any legitimate fault you can find with the Fandom in spades.

However, I am not contesting your right to be barbarians. On the contrary, I am filled with a certain amount of glee over it. Watching you pups squirm is giving me a hard-on I'll never forget! Keep up the good work, gentlefolk, and be well.

Sure, out one side of your mouth you're freaking out about the fall of civilization and so forth, and out the other you say we're mostly pretty uninteresting beyond providing some amusement. Am I correct, or have you always found us merely amusing? If I am incorrect in your case, then know that my own amusement is not neccessarily directed at you.

Very amusing use of sarcasm.

That sounds real great. Yeah! I'm, like drinking beer, listening to killswitch engage and feeling really man and shit.

Oh, and I hope you didn't buy the thesaurus for this forum only.

I give you 6 out of 10 troll points. Too bad, chap.

How unironic! I am laughing at you because you are a furry and think that the customs of your dreary little fandom and dull friends should be the laws of nature. So did you find that George Bernard Shaw quote in a Christmas cracker or what?

Your laughable belief that what would be malapropos in your little bubble world should be universally held to be lowly or immoral eclipses any legitimate fault you can find with the Fandom in spades.

Now I'm shocked! A furry - putting words in it's opponents' mouths!? My God! Someone fetch the smelling salts for I fear I may swoon, also I appear to have inexplicably lost my monocle.

However, I am not contesting your right to be barbarians. On the contrary, I am filled with a certain amount of glee over it. Watching you pups squirm is giving me a hard-on I'll never forget! Keep up the good work, gentlefolk, and be well.

By Crom! No effete furry calls me a barbarian and lives! Fetch my mighty broadsword to me! I shall fell this heinous creature then we can all retire to the meadhall to toast my great victory from the skulls of our enemies! Also watch cable and get stoned.

oops

Yes, yes, you are very much the badass. It must be a terrible burden to be so cool and in-your-face, taking on the ills of puritan society. Fortunately, you don't have to do it alone. Many people as cool as yourself are challenging all of the preconceived notions that people cling to.

For instance, there are many who are challenging the idea that gold chains, pimpmobiles, and gang handsigns are only for black folks...

There are people challenging our puritan ideas of gender identity and gender-appropriate attire...

There are people challenging societies ideals of what is considered beautiful....

And, there are people challenging our ideas of what it means to be cool...

So, don't give up! You're a visionary... breaking the boundaries of social norms... like Vanilla Ice.

I've read the play before, actually, but the reason I use it is that some guy on a forum I used to frequent used the quote in his sig, and it's stuck with me ever since. It's a good quote, and I enjoy how Ceasar used it to defuse both of them in one shot.

Eh, I must agree that my attempts here have been way off. Forgive me. I'm more than a bit rusty. I was hoping for another batch of fools who think the sky's going to come falling down over a bit of strange porn or a few nerds running around in animal costumes. They're easy to bait if you take the right approach. Not much here to waste my time with. Some of the more rational criticisms I've seen of the Fandom on this forum haven't been far off, really. I just don't mind it as much.

These guys aren't all that bad. I think they've been pretty fair. I posted a problem I had with Ken Sample and most thought Ken Sample was in the right. Some still do. Everyone here is not anti furry. They just in most cases wish it was more restrained. I agree.
As for saying our customs are the laws of nature, when you're standing on someone else's land and are the only one from your tribe there, guess what. No matter how rebelious ya are, they still make the rules. At which point being the rebel is not an act of defyance, it's an act of stupidity.
Would you go to Iraq and wander around speaking about how YOUR rules are right amongst the people there? You'd probably be sitting in the afterlife complaining about how you got killed doing it. You seem to profess openmindedness, yet you seem to not have the willingness to utilize it. A truely open mind is a door that opens both ways. Not only do you want to be on the recieving end of an open mind and its working, you have to be willing to have the open mind as well. If someone doesn't like you, walking up and belting them in the nose doesn't make you right because you think it does. Especially if you're doing it around all thier friends.
I have been a furry since 1996 "officially". I have made freinds with many artists. Some are on the shitlist of people here. Hey, I accept that. I don't hold it against 'em.
Furry fandom spends a lot of time professing how they're all open minded, loving, forgiving folks. You are walking proof that it's all a lie. you're not even accomplishing anything here other than getting your thrills by starting flames.
If this is what you call a thrill and the real world is boring... I pity you. You haven't even begin to experience life if this is what you call entertainment. I find furrycons to be boring. I never been to a furrycon with multiple heavy metal concerts going on at 1 AM with live bands and moshpits. The cons I HAVE seen the concerts in I met a while three or MAYBE four furries.
Furry fandom is boring. I prefer to spend my time seeking high speed thrills on the open road making Italian car makers nod with approval in performance.

How ironic! I'm laughing at you guys because you are barbarians and think that the customs of your tribe and island are the laws of nature. Your laughable belief that what would be malapropos in your little bubble world should be universally held to be lowly or immoral eclipses any legitimate fault you can find with the Fandom in spades.

Furry isn't a haven for people who are fetishists, it's a haven for losers who are fetishists. There are people who like to suck toes while wearing gingham dresses and getting whipped like ponies* who do just fine because they separate that part and don't let it take over their lives, and go on to have successful careers and such.

BECAUSE THEY AREN'T TOTAL LOSERS WITH NOTHING ELSE GOING ON.

And that's really it, isn't it. Furries just don't have it going on.

In the realm of sexuality, furries will always be lower on the totem than anyone else short of rapists and child molesters. In fact, it could be said furries ruin any sort of casual kinky interest in anthropomorphism anyone** might have due to the majority of their ranks being occupied by thin-skinned emotional retards who you just_want_to_strangle for their unrelenting stupidity

The day furries do anything groundbreaking or revolutionary or important is the day they stop being a bunch of whiny pussies.

For the fun of it, let's amend that and say the day they do anything groundbreaking or revolutionary and meaningful to people. They're always quick to point out how they slipped a few bucks to the local animal shelter, adopt-a-wolf program, or something equally animal-related. But how about helping out at a nursing home (and I don't mean "Hey, old people, it's Hoohah the dancing aardvark come in costume to brighten your day!") or working in a soup kitchen or something meaningful to hy00mans. Not that there's anything wrong with helping animal shelters or stuff... but, c'mon... get yourself out of the rut (no, I didn't say rutting you fucktards).
