What with some of the Atrocity Archives submissions and also some random web-surfing, It seems that Sept.11 is still a favorite topic with some furries. (Yes, I know that's it's still a favorite topic with a lot of people. And yes, I know that's partly because we just had the second anniversary a few days ago). What's interesting to me is how completely a lot of furry 9/11 tributes fall in with the "towelhead" Arab-bashing. And, yes, I know that's not unique to furries but it seems that even two years later a lot of the dramawhores who're still milking 9/11 are still taking that approach while everyone else has moved on to the "crying eagle saluting the sillouette of the flag" stage. I don't have any evidence for this, it's just a feeling that I get. Anyone else get that vibe or am I just crazy/stupid/retarded?
And just because I know that someone's going to point out what a flagrant generalization this all is, so I'll come right out and say that not all furries are like that. Some also draw crying eagles --er, foxdragyns. |

yeah, i can see that a little bit...i think it might be just a reflection of a furry tendancy towards neurotic behaviour though

i havent really seen too much racism in furry at all ...i remember reading probably 6 months ago on A.F.F., someone had made reference to people freaking out right after sept. 11th 2001 and making stupid statements like they were "gonna burn thier midnight sands portofolios" or "burn thier fangs of ka'ath books/comics", mindless shit like that.
i take it you're refering to that weird image ghengis posted a link to, but that struck me more as intentionally downplaying the whole sept 11th thing.
i've also heard reference to racist anti-arab statements made by Peter "Hangdog" Shorn, and a few others ..but i havent seen anythign personally. i've noticed quite a few furries accuse eric blumrich of nazism once in a while ..which judging by his politics, i highly doubt - they most likely misinterpreted some satirical statement or idea he put forth. (this also typically from the same sector of furry that tends to treat communism, socialism, and nazi - national socialism as the same thing...an insult - with little to no understanding of what each represents. e.g. nazi germany's national socialism, was such..to a degree.. but there is a better term: facsist demogogue)

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that racism was widespread in furry. I definitely wouldn't say that. It's just when you do see this sort of thing it always seems particularly vehement when it's coming from furries. But you're probably right about it being just a symptom of general furry neurosis.

Oh, yeah, that was part of it. Also, I've spent too much time looking at that damn Chester comic lately and his idiot livejournal "WHY BOMB US EVERYBODY LOVES US" rants. |

yeah, like i said i havent seen any examples but i would believe it
there are several particularly obnoxious right-wing fuckjob furries - RHJunior and WaydWolf come to mind
(i dont like the right-wing but im refering to this fucking annoying, ignorant, michael savage-style shit constantly spewed by these two)

Wayd gets a little strong sometimes but he ain't a patch on RHJunior, go read RHJunior's LiveJournal and especially the comments. He is absolutely unfuckingbelievable. If I didn't KNOW he was for real and that he IS this fucked up I'd almost think it was some kind of amazing hoax LJ.
But the scarey thing is this:- theres probably MILLIONS of people in the US JUST LIKE HIM. Scared yet? I know I fucking am. |

Yet another crappy keenspace comic, recently featured on POE. It's a bizarre furry Garfield rip-off, yet even less funny. I've got a soft spot for it just because I was the one who discovered and submitted it three years ago, then promptly forgot about it until it popped up in their archives.
It's here:

ya its REALLY weird, i was ABOUT to mention that samantha ann patterson had, several months ago, run across another RHJunior's livejournal and posted about it ...and JUST TODAY , some guy made a post on AFF "i just read this..." i think its the guy she wrote about before
a pot-smoking RHJunior from NYC
WaydWolf...ya ill give him some credit
i think he's got money, and correct me if im wrong
he wanted to do somethign for furries like a class - showing them how to save money and make good stock-market investment decisions..or something like that?
which is a pretty cool thing to do actually since statistically it seems, most furries are broke and bad with finances in general
But the scarey thing is this:- theres probably MILLIONS of people in the US JUST LIKE HIM. Scared yet? I know I fucking am.
yup, probably tens of millions ...he's just somewhat more vocal
i just find it funny, with all the shit these guys talk -
they seem to forget they were the ones who screamed and howled when clinton went after milosevich (sp?) ..and while it has kind of come to light that he was not the total war criminal he was portrayed as, there WAS an actual ethnic cleansing going on in that country ...yet now these guys are pointing to 10 year old kurdish (a group we incited to try and overthrow saddam, then turned our back on them when they failed) mass graves - calling for regime change...uhm...fucking hello????
even bill clinton bombed iraq with britain..i remember when it happened in 98 cuz i was like ...what the fuck ?
i dont remember the neo-con and right wing cheering on clinton when he did that
its just plain ignorance , guys like RHJunior just mindlessly lockstep with whatever right-wing pundit is talking then parrot that shit back into thier livejournals and where-ever else they can |

Ralph Hayes was a Burned Fur co-founder. He designed the INCREDIBLY IMAGINATIVE logo, among other things. In fact, it's from one of his sites that I acquired one of the few surviving copies of the Manifesto.
The only reason he's in furry is because his art skills suck. That isn't anywhere near enough of a reason - but then again, I'll probably never fully understand the Christian Furries. They SHOULD be oxymorons, and yet here they are.... |
