Today I noticed this "new" tag above the "groups" search on google. So of course I tried it out by entering "Quozl Mephit". There are 1900 hits!! I dunno, maybe its the way they are threading newgroup posts or, something, I can't tell, its been a while since I went Quozl hunting.. anyways, maybe they opened up some more data, take a look

I'm not sure who is always TEH WINNAR in these things for angst.. the person grandstanding and declaring they're leaving like it's some kind of suicide note... or the follow-ups grandstanding and making some parting post like they're Helen of Troy, standing on some cliff waving goodbye to the ships headed out to sea. :?

<14> (Alynna) Maybe i'd wire up the temporal matrix where the Brisby's live so that Mrs. Brisby had four mouselings... because I truly believe that Erikmouse was never meant to live in four dimensions. A mistake occured somewhere.
<14> (Armonkyi) O.o
<14> (Alynna) Erikmouse isn't supposed to be here, he doesnt even have the same type of spiritual-temporal signatures that we have. He's what could only be described as 'toonkin'.
<14> * Tsunari snuggles Alynna
<14> (Alynna) If he ever makes it back to his native temporal alignment, he'll have interesting stories to tell.
<14> (Alynna) you know what happened to Erikmouse?
<14> (Alynna) Ever see that episode of the Simpsons where a temporal rift forms in the Simpson's house and Homer gets sucked into the 'third dimension'?
<14> (Armonkyi) O.o <14> * Armonkyi is very confused
<14> (Alynna) Nothing about the space-time continuum is simple, Armonkyi.
<14> (Armonkyi) indeed
<14> * Armonkyi gives up trying to understand and just nuzzles Alynna n.n <14> (Armonkyi) :3
<14> (ErikMouse) Are you saying that you want to see if you can build something like the matrix on AnimalTracks.net and then drag me into it into where you believe that I belong?
<14> (Alynna) The space-time continuum is made up of stacked and conjoined infinities.
<14> (Armonkyi) O.o
<14> (Armonkyi) ok..
<14> (Alynna) The very concept of a plural infinity is insane, but thats the way it is ..
<14> (Armonkyi) indeed o.O
<14> (Prismwind) Not insane.
<14> (Prismwind) It is entirely possible for something to be infinite in ONE dimension, but not in another dimension.
<14> (Tsunari) Yep ^_^
<14> (Prismwind) Furthermore, it is possible to have an infinite amount of one type of energy existing in the same place as an infinite type of another energy, as long as they don't cancel each other out or push each other away.
<14> (ErikMouse) Well, the only trace of anything that you are talking about would be the forest behind my grandma's house doing Al-Halo's Eve where the walls between dimensions are very week, and I have been told that one of those dimensions is the fairy hills.
<14> (Alynna) Needless to say in a single infinity the possibility of anything exists. In my native tounge there are words attached to these concepts: Eriaeta, meaning the sum total of everything that exists, or has existed, or will exist. And then theres Otoaeta, which is everything that does not exist, that gets erased from the existence so thoroughly that noone remembers it, anywhere, in all that exists.
<14> * Tsunari kisses Alynna
<14> (Alynna) What this comes down to: is that in any one multiverse an infinity of possiblities exist, and in all of existence itself, the possibilites are infinite to the power of infinity.
<14> (Tsunari) Yep
<14> (Alynna) Which means, Erik.. do you really know who you are?
<14> (Alynna) Do you see astrally Erik?
<14> (ErikMouse) Well, at first I felt that I was a mouse with a kinship with Mrs. Brisby and her four mouselings living in a cinderblock home, then recently I had feelings that was making me feel more like Shippo the little Kitsune.

God I love ErikMouse. IS HE THE LOST FIFTH BRISBY CHILD? IS HE AN INCARNATION OF SHIPPO THE LITTLE KITSUNE TRAPPED ON THIS EARTH? IS HE AN INSANE DESTITUTE MAN LIVING IN A PHILADELPHIA SLUM SPENDING HIS DAYS ON FURRY IRC AND LIVING ON FOOD STAMPS BECAUSE HE CAN'T HOLD DOWN A MCJOB? THE MYSTERY MAY NEVER BE SOLVED WITHOUT HELP... FROM THE SPIRIT WORLD

It scares me to know that the people in that log are NOT ROLEPLAYING. They actually BELIEVE this stuff.

Interesting.. I find it surreal, they're trying to use VERY theoretical physics to validate their true cosmic link to fictional characters.
True, if the multiverse hypothesis is true, or the universe is infinite in size, there may be some sort of more actualized Brisby. But for any one local area of space, if we were to write out the probability of this happening randomly (1) (as a number, in compressed scientific notation) on the densest storage medium we can thing of, (for the point of argument, a hard drive) this hard drive would be so big as to dwarf our own local mega-cluster of galaxies. Fat chance, ErikMouse

And this stuff about connections between here and there, this is really lala land..

<14> (ErikMouse) Well, the only trace of anything that you are talking about would be the forest behind my grandma's house doing Al-Halo's Eve where the walls between dimensions are very week, and I have been told that one of those dimensions is the fairy hills.

I know of a Twilight Zone episode that should be helpfull in finding your way to the fairy hills ErikMouse, write me. I'm always looking for a good case study.

If you want some thought on infinity, consider that for any given digital picture, there is a corresponding series of ones and zeros that comprises it. This series is finite and its paramters quantifiable. Now imagine a picture you haven't taken. Say of your mom and the mailman having a nooner. Or the guy on the grassy knoll in Dallas. Whatever. That too is a series of ones and zeroes bounded by the same parameters.

From all zeroes to all ones, all possible combinations in between cover all possible pictures that could be represented with that digital camera. Pics of the British Prime Minister taking tea with aliens or pics of you getting some tail from Carrie Moss. Whatever the pics were of, they'd fit within that finite number space from all zeros to all ones.

None of those combos will ever show a respectable and sane furry fandom. There aren't enough binary number spaces to cover that.

Oh geez... this guy is borrowing from Druidism. Well, other religions have this philosophy, but his wording sounds almost straight out of The 21 Lessons of Merlin. I wonder how many Fihonn MacCumhail books he had to rake through to find validation of this idea. The "twilight periods".. fairy hills... let's just all sit around in a fairy ring and light our pelen tans and pretend our ginger ale is mead and listen to Clannad, kids.

Al Halo? Is that Ed O'Neil in an XBox game?

I give you now the Pookmeister. Kaijima the Fat of Fingerless-Glove fame theorizes that Pook does not identify with his true Dragon soul closely enough (he tends more toward the kitsune persuasion) because he only has one dragon plushie, and prefers fucking his fox toy.

His full Dwaggie name is Neuromancer Pookie Loxorion Ka'Kur Alynna Ry'slai Amekazefushuugi Trypnotyk Frostfang Seidaku plus one more surname I can't find.

From his LJ:
Current mood: bouncy
Current music: FF:TSW theme

I LOVE Katsuei!
I am still in shock...That such a beautiful, perfect thing like Katsuei could happen to me... I truly had given up.. and it was Kai and Kras that had always said, when you stop looking, you'll find something.. and I had, and I did.. and I was just.. in shock in how we matched, even our quirks match up.. Truly the date shown in my last post is a catalyst date. If everything goes well, it will become permanently etched in my reality as the day everything changed...

March 27th, 2003.

Its like, theres two of us of the kitsune persuasion.. perhaps this oriental influence is like getting to my brain cause I keep seeing flashes of future with Katsuei in anime cutscenes where I am all foxy and squealing like a japanese schoolgirl and swooning, and as Chocomay has noted, getting all the little red heartbubbles over my head...

And I have never felt like this over anyone before.. I have loved others before Katsuei, but its never come with.. butterflies in the stomach, swooning, and then theres the stuff he does...

It feels... it makes me feel.. so great to hear I love you repeatedly, directed at me... That makes me so hot for him, honestly... the thought of cuddling with him, of laying my head against his chest, or in his lap... of being close to someone I love... of having them hold and cuddle me... its what I wanted in a relationship... I always wondered what I wanted... Now I know, I know that Katsuei is my soulmate, that he is the ultimate culmination of everything i've been wanting in a relationship, cause of how he treats me.... because of what certain things mean to him, well, they do to me. One of the reasons I even tell you all about it, beside it being the biggest single catalyst event in my entire life since the day I hit cold air, it is also to say, everyone, I love Katsuei, and am damn proud to be his mate.

I cannot believe someone like Katsuei wasnt being.. taken by someone else... I just cant believe it..

Some of the things we're going to do when we get together...
1) Watch hentai anime naked in my room. Just so we can cuddle and play while were watching it.
2) Probably going to hit the town (or more likely, a park) with Chocomay and her mate, and I will probably make that a date with Katsuei..
3) At least twice we'll go out with Kai, Kras and Bax too..
4) Other stuff at home, probably some retro gaming...
5) We will sleep with eachother, every night.. just so he can get used to life when he moves in which will likely be sometime mid june...

In mid june, I will be going back east and most likely, flying back with Katsuei, but not before we take a trip to Penns Cave in State College, Pennsylvania, and possibly a stop at HersheyPark, and/or Poe Valley state park.. or Tall Timbers in Troxelville... dont know, we're going to do some stuff there...

I feel like I should start.. researching. I think something like me and Katsuei is from a previous life or something... that I need to check this with previous existence, to see if we were together elsewhere....

In any case, I know Katsuei is .. the one. The last one too, if things dont work out. Katsuei's set a standard, he's shown me what I love, and that's him and how he treats me, and I think I can only get that with him...

The anime flashbacks keep coming, as if there WAS something between us before that I can only see in anime style. But not any anime i've seen, its an original style in my damn head... two foxes, me and him, touching noses and kissing, the tails swishing behind us...

In this I am almost all vixen, but I still have my gryphox wings, and I think this indicates yet another change in me, not big, this me is morphic, is more of a griffox instead of a gryphox, which is different in that only the wings and some feathers exist around the shoulders and back, the rest is all vixen...

Normally i'd angst about the change, but I feel my full, nonmorphic gryphox self that we've all come to know and love sitting right there. This seems like an alternate form rather than another true change. So maybe the whole shapeshifting thing is true for me. Which makes sense cause I am .. at acceptance with being a good part kitsune at this point.

So what am I? A fox shapeshifter, with aspects of dragon, faerie, and hawk as part. Kitsune just comes with this. Kitsune is more like, state of spirit, rather than state of form. Actually, kitsune is defined in many cases specifically as a shapeshifting fox with multiple tails. So in that sense I am a kitsune, though I dont see myself as bound by kitsune lore, even though I might believe and adhere to some aspects of it, especially cause dragon, faerie, and hawk are definite parts of me, and not just forms I take.

This is a deviation from the point... The major points here are:

1) I am me, right now I am feeling like a gryphox still, but with the alternate form of a anthro griffox, see this picture for an example of both.
2) I'm in love.. with katsueikitsune.. he's coming to visit.. and this is the most important thing I can see happening this year and maybe the rest of my years, with the exception of his late june move-in date..
3) I am out of commission on all MUCKs until April 8th, when he leaves. I am preparing for him now and are barely not 404 right now, when 27 March reaches around, expect me to be completely 404 for the duration.

Tho I will still likely post here, probably like mad, talking about what a dreamboat he is.

Sadly, the romance did not work out, despite the swooning.

Note the extra tails.

What is it with furries and ugly shorts? Granted, on most guys, I think shorts are more a matter of comfort than appearance, cuz few guys look even remotely decent in regular shorts. But furries take it to the next level. Not only do they seem to perpetually cram themselves into shorts you'd wear solely to the gym, but they also seem to go out of their way to pick these godawful Wal-Mart colors like heather gray and cobalt blue that just accentuate the pastiness of their hairy legs.

And along the shorts theme.. what is it with furries and wood panneling? Every picture I see is in a room with that crappy wood pannelling. My first apartment had that...... never again.

Why the fuck do furries look like furries, even minus all the fake animal parts, and its still like, "look mommy, a furry!"

We should take like 1000 images of furs and average them, then take 1000 pics of random people or maybe 1000 of trekkies too for fun (neither with fandom paraphinalia however) and subtract out the difference.. I know, you all have your opinions as to what it is, but I want the truth dammit, and it's a matter of great consequence, of course.

I blame it on the fanboy gene. It turns normal upstanding food-service workers into obsessive, flamboyant, overly-sensitive, physically unfit fanboys whose secret desire is to be one with their respective made-up universes. Science has not of yet found it, but I know it's there. It should be located right next to the MMORPG gene and the anime gene.

This is why when you place a furry even without the fake ears, makeup, and ConFurEnce T-Shirt into normal clothes, they still reek of teh furre.

Commercial UNIX, including Mac OSX: Gay people (without ponytails)

YAY FOR ADBLOCK!

That's about right. I miss my Mac. I should get my 'new' used iBook next week. Jordan Hubbard, however, is not Unemployed or Gay. He's writing MacOS X (Darwin) now, and, uh, used to be the lead for FreeBSD.. He does have horrid teeth, however.

...damn I miss him.

What makes it even funnier is he looks like he expects to be taken seriously with those goofy things sticking up from his head.

And along the shorts theme.. what is it with furries and wood panneling? Every picture I see is in a room with that crappy wood pannelling. My first apartment had that...... never again.

Nothing says cheap rent like bad wood paneling.

That's not a basement. It has to be a trailer.

Naaa. Basement apartment he is renting from his divorced mom who plays loud music while she sleeps so she doesn't hear him crying after his forth self love session of the night.

Actually, that is an interior shot of the infamous "half-built-house" which has been under construction for several years by Kaijima Appleseed Frostfang (his legal name), a balding and nearly spherical inflatable Dragon who makes Pookie look positively svelte. Kaijima pioneered the fingerless-glove look which is so popular among the Draconic community.

Pook was institutionalized three times before he turned 18 and ran away to live with Kai and his boyfriend.

Now that i think of it i see a coralation with how he looks and how all the unhappy kids that went to my highschool looked. The ones who always sat alone that i honestly couldn't help but feel empathy for, but still had to throw things at.

I'm thinking Kaijima Appleseed Frostfang should consider some time in the funhouse. Can't hurt. Probably can't help either.

Landlords use it to cover cracked plaster lathe rather than paying for sheetrocking and so forth. The former owner of my house did it and my living room is still a dark and deathly place on the brightest day. I would remove it but I am waiting to do it as part of an overall renovation as several walls and an entire ceiling are being removed from my place to combine several rooms into one. Until then, PANELLING SUCKS!

(I've known people who painted over the panelling then spackled the wood-like finish cracks and such and sanded and painted again and... just fucking tear the wall down I say.)

Yeah, I can understand that. The place I'm living in now was formerly owned by an insane art teacher. She liked to sunbath in the nude (she was well into her late 60s, so that should give you a happy mental image) and she had done up this weird privacy paneling thing on the back deck. Plus, the house itself was painted every warm colour she could think of. I thank god the land lords let me paint. I'd have gone nuts.

Can't wait to buy my own place in about two years (take me that long to save up all the dosh I'll need because I just had to live in the DC metro area!).

Body of an Olympic gymnast, mullet of a Canadian hockey player.

If you can't tell from the picture, it's a blue anthropomorphic Dragon with a white mane.

"Hey, darlin. You smell good tonight. What's my little octagenarian squirrel wearing? Something special?"

"Ben Gay."

Wow... from this angle, it looked like a bucket of KFC drumsticks that was trying to compensate for going bald by growing a ponytail and gluing a dish sponge to its chin.

Repomancer, that picture reminds me of the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons. Complete with the mullet, obesity, hair, and crazy fandom.

"I must hurry back to my comic book store, where I dispense the insults rather than absorb them!"

Say, after reading through the thread much more throughly, I am now giggling and yet wondering what you guys are talking about. After seeing several names appear on the Make A Hero topic, my curiousity is whetted. Can anyone explain who these...fine fellows are?

He stalked Tress MacNeille (Voice of Babs). From the stories I've heard, he is one seriously messed up freak.

For what it's worth, I always liked Slappy.

Now then, counting the blue dragon who looks like CBG, that makes three dead bunnies (and satisfied vultures) so far. C'mon, people. I wanna see either a bunny massacre or more pics of Slappy.

I saw that other post about CF guests of honor and I was thinkin'.... I know Allen Dean Foster (Author of Quozl) was a guest speaker at CF, I think maybe 8? I can't seem to track it down, anyhow, I was curios if Quozl Mephit attended that one, this is a shot in the dark, but does anybody know?

Just googling now for Foster brought ne to a page for next year's Mephit Furmeet, and Allen Foster is a speaker. WTF is he doing? Well he certainly is something of a creative authority on alien life forms, but does he know who furries ARE? I could understand going to CF7 or whatever but, well I guess he could use the publicity. Maybe he's a full blown fur . I read alot of Foster as a young adult, it's fun stuff, but I recommend staying away from anything written past about 1989
