This is a pretty stupid and redundant topic, but Ebonlupus and Snowolf started a "LETS SPAY AND NEUTER ALL TEH EWWMANS HURR HURR" thread on SheezyArt here. When the rest of the forum basically called them dumbasses and another mod locked the thread (for some reason, Snowolf is a moderator on there, don't ask me why) to put an end to the flaming, Ebonlupus started provoking the mod and got his ass banned for a week. He posted another thread flaming the mod, but I think they just deleted that one.

I'm starting to land somewhere between annoyance and total apathy in respect to Ebon's and Snow's antics. At first, he was a curiosity.... a marvel of fucked up logic and a champion for the powers of denial. But now.... it's obvious that there's no way to make a dent in his psychological armor. With many furries, you can see some kind of chink in their armor starting to give way.. even if you know their coming face-to-face with reality will come someday far in the future.

With Ebon, however, I don't think anyone's ever going to see the day when he realizes how fucked up he is. He will either be locked away, far from Internet access, or blow his brains out before then. Most furry nutjobs are nuts only in that they simply willingly engage in the fucktardery that they do. You know there's a rational person somewhere in there... but they're just too lazy to get up and take back control of the body.

That's a harsh thing to say, especially since it goes in the face of Buddhist teachings. The idealistic part of me hopes he finds peace and happiness in whatever form he can. But, the realistic side of me hopes that if he cannot find happiness, and his madness continues to worsen, that he will kill himself before he kills anyone else. Better to take his own life, than that of some innocent person or creature.

I feel very sad for him... to see someone so out of touch with the world around them. It's like watching someone with Alzheimer's get worse and worse. I don't know if I can really tolerate the sadness he generates enough to even find amusement in his antics anymore.

When I saw his art for the first time, my initial thought was "Wow, a guy who draws photo-realistic non-anthro stuff. How refreshing." Then I picked up on his weird tendancies. His pic of (what I assume to be representing) himself getting eating and other stuff was more than enough to convince me that he was indeed insane in the membrane. His activities online and offline only prove this. (That and aquiring an incontinence problem from dog-fucking and being investigated by the police on this has got to be as embarassing as hell.)

That's one of the things I really don't get about him. He has his own set of websites where he can post anything he damn well pleases. Then, he gets pissy when other sites ban him, take his stuff down, etc. I mean.. hell.... that's like having the luxury to take a whiz on the flowers in my own back yard, and then getting haughty when people get upset when you start peeing on the landscaping in their back yard.

Maybe that is how he justifies his paraphilias and finds others with the same mindset. He seems to have a pattern of sorts. He'll post something to a gallery/forum that grosses people out or violates the TOS (or both). When anyone complains about it he'll respond by complaining how he's being persecuted and/or censored. Then he'll try to use his convoluted logic to poke apart peoples motives for complaining. Once this doesn't work, he will simply fold with a "Well, I tried. Casting pearls before swine and all that...". This might reinforce his pathology since, at least to him, he was the one that was ridiculed, and he tried to make people understand him.

In my time among furries, I learned of this behaviour first hand when I was still trying to be friendly, and open minded until my brains fell out.

It starts simply with one daring to be stupid enough to risk getting bitch slapped and making rude or otherwise uncalled for comments. Sometimes via mailing list, sometimes group, sometimes Usenet. Then since that person gets away with it because they aren't in the same room where they would certainly be afraid to treat the other person so coarsely, someone with slightly less bravery comes to the fore and takes their hand at it. Then another. Then another. Soon you have sides choosing up and generaly among furries, the social dog pack behaviour of furries is such that they'd rather join in the insults and criticism than defend the other person.

REGARDLESS OF THE ISSUE.

They seem obvious to me, but the question is fair. We covered the cowardice and stupidity bit above.

Another would be the continual flight from reality regarding their own status in life versus that flight itself. As if the two have nothing to do with each other.

It's another form of that cowardice and conditional bravery. They are so gutless they can't even stand up to themselves, but they can self-righteously wrap themselves in victimhood and take on the world, thus making themselves worse by leaps and bounds. Because then they are fortified in this case by two forces. One is the societal affection for underdogs or the perception of it. The other is the mantle of victimhood and societies love of assigning blame no matter how silly in every situation as long as personal responsibility is not broached. A third would be their fellow outcasts.

Another dysfunction I covered at the Off Topic forum. The obsession with superficial looks without having any decent attributes to match, and being all the more ugly for their attitudes. People grossing three hundred twenty pounds because they can't stop stuffing Cheetos and Big Macs in their faces and can't bring themselves to walk farther than the fridge for exercise should not point fingers and call other people ugly. It's creeping through this site as well. Beauty is more in behaviour than what Cosmo or Playboy say it is. Or the mass media for that matter.

Laziness. Furries are legendary for their combination of weak-ass victimhood and laziness creating the phenomenon of being unable to hold a job longer than four hours every other day with a name tag and garishly colored vest and then whine and grouse about it for all fucking eternity. The sort of thing you'd generally need to rack up over eight hundred posts in a shorter time than I've made less than six hundred. Heck, I'm ashamed of how much I've posted. Makes me look like I haven't been up a ladder sixty hours a week. Damn my being able to touch-type now.

Well, even as much as I work, it isn't as much as my father does or grandfather did. I think my father has been doing eighty hour weeks since his days in the military. I can't remember him ever not working so much. We do it as natural in my family. What we get done outside of work is a testament to multitasking and efficiency.

But furries seem to have all the time in the world. Time to attend every fucking convention and meet on the calendar no matter how far they have to drive or bus or fly or train to get there. And then they wonder why they don't have the kind of money that NORMAL PEOPLE DO. Even the most dense trailer trash know they're poor because they're either lazy or willfully stupid or both. And they know it to be as temporary as their intransigence in the face of life's requirement that you be proactive to survive much less prosper. FURRIES DON'T.

They really begin to believe their victimhood fantasies. Ebon for convenient example. The whole of the human race is against him. Against those odds, how can anyone expect anything better out of him? He has the perfect reason for continuing to be what he is. He acts paranoid and nuts. Does it enough to draw fire from lots of people. Then uses their disapproval and opprobrium as justification after the fact as justification. Great, his idiocy has just been very effectively fed.

There's two ways to deal with their nonsense. Either be firmly against what they do and not them and make it clear that all you want is better for them or you can be firmly against them and make it personal. The first denies them an effective attacker to defend against. It denies them a personal target to retaliate against more than merely superficially. The human psyche is geared to one on one fights. Not against concepts and ideas.

But if you make it personal, you justify them after the fact and they will simply retrench in their behaviours for all eternity or until they on a one in a billion shot decide for themselves they want to change.

Self interest is the only reason humans do anything. Even when they are being supposedly selfless, there is some ideal that they personally find important and that is why they are committing to the action, not purely on behalf of someone else. So you can either point out what their behaviours are doing to their detriment and offer them a better alternative and not break from it or you can give them all the reason in the world to throw up their shields and hide behind them.

Hence, furries being so superficially judgemental, I mention that I have A)a relationship with a real live female which they don't and wish they could, B)that she has a nice rack which they see in magazines and media and wish they could lay their mitts on, and C)that I have an actual marriage and all the good things that come with it which is an achievement so many of them can only dream of when they cry themselves to sleep in loneliness.

On top of this, the subjects of the stomping are fodder for amature flashcard psychology so much so in some people's cases that they are rapidly bringing their keyboards to their eventual failure point and giving new meaning to the title: needs to get out more. Furries also post heavily enough to make you think they never do anything but, and they amaturishly psychoanalyse everyone around them, but they are sane. Everyone else is tweaked. Not them. No, not them.

We could take the fandom and the fans to task until we were blue in the face but would any of them give a flying fuck? And out of curiosity - what kind of example could we set? I really don't believe it's possible to "clean up" the fandom or change it in any way - it is the way it is because that is what the fans have made it.

While the technique of challanging others by expressing zero confidence works for some underachievers, that sort of parental logic playing on ego and conscience rarely works, especially with people already predisposed to seeing everyone as already against them. Make it personal and they won't hear anything you say. Make it about ideas and some few will hear. It will stay with what remains of their conscience. It will prick their mentality and be a thorn in their emotional side.

Some few will get it and grow up. That's what the point of standing up to the bad ideas and behaviours instead of the individuals is. Attack their weaponry and armor, not the people using or wearing them. The goal is for them to be taken alive, not destroyed. If I wanted that, I'd make it personal and get them to fight each other until it all fell apart in a sea of animosity. But that would be to act like a furry. I'm not a furry.

I hosted him BEFORE Anthrocon, Cutter, etc. In fact, he attended Anthrocon while I was hosting him. NO ONE e-mailed me to tell me what happened there. Even people who know me well and have my phone number did not bother to notify me of his doings. I wasn't to find out until AFTER he left the airport in Boston for Belgium. About six weeks after.

He was perfectly well behaved with me via IM and after much corresponding seemed perfectly reasonable.

My threshold for what gets your head pushed through a wall is much different. As I've said before, I don't tend to fight as much as go for a quick maim or kill. That being the case, there better be good fucking reason for me to engage in violence beforehand that justifies it completely. I can stand a lot more done to me than most people would.

And on top of it, I don't mind it being done to me as much as others. I am much more defensive of other people being abused than myself.

Altogether, Nekobe was way overblown in the furry media as it were. Neglecting to see that is still to this day a cover for the legions of others in furry who also have serious behaviour issues. Especially those who happen to be able to do decently drawn artwork. If Nekobe was a competent artist, I guarantee he would have gotten a pass from most in order to kiss his butt and get free art or commissions to their taste.

As with society in general, what you can do for people often overshadows what you otherwise do or how you treat people. As an example consider the rich and famous who give society their fix for vicarious thrills and lives of wealth and adventure and notoriety but when they do drugs they get plushy rehabs or at worst Club Fed while you and I the common person end up sharing a cell with someone who resembles a furry crossed with a Hell's Angel.

When I first came here, you seemed to be regarded as one of the less frequent regulars that was simply rather blunt with your opinions and truly didn't care what others thought. In the past few months, however, you've become progressively rabid regarding your proclamations of your powers that dwarf those of mere mortals and your marriage to Aphrodite herself.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason you are getting teased is because you have become almost a caricature of yourself. More and more it seems you cannot participate in discussions without eventually bringing up your prowess as Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Van Damme, Steven Segal, and Sho Kosugi all rolled into one, or holding your wife up as some kind of trophy with the hopes that all will be forced to run for a drool-wipe while simultaneously hiding their crotches which have spontaneously erupted into chubbies out of sheer envy.

By making such a fuss about how little you care, you are rising to their bait. One of the dynamics of most forum communities is that people tease each other about their quirks. Usually, it is a show of their security in the relationships and themselves. Everyone here has their quirks, and has been teased about them. I've been teased about my "Biblical-length" posts, but I don't go off on even longer posts about how little one rib or another failed to affect me. Seeing myself appear in the NOSOCS as a "follicularlly-challenged older male who uses twelve words where one would suffice," admittedly, felt like a bit of a jab at first, but I know it was in fun.

Where you have separated yourself from others is by your rabid retalliation to the jabs. If you truly didn't care, which you obviously do, and didn't rise to their bait, they wouldn't have been able to find sport in teasing you. But, rather than the sleeping dog that just lifts an eyelid to peer at the kid poking it, you respond like a whirlwind of African killer bees. That's not the response of someone who doesn't care. Granted, I think your ire was justified at someone digging up a picture from your wedding. Let's face two facts here. First, we know you love your wife. You can see in your text that she's the light of your life. There's no need to remind us of her previous professions or endowments. We've been there, seen that, and bought the T-shirt. Yippy skippy. Whoop-de-doo. Wayd is a guy married to a wonderful woman. I think the same of my wife. Others think the same of their girlfriends or boyfriends. We each have things that we find attractive in other people. The second is that those of us who don't know you personally cannot verify nor dispute your claims that you are, indeed, a hard-fightin', hard-fartin' manly man who could kill with a look across a football field. This disbelief is further enhanced by the fact that, if the Internet teaches us anything, it is that people who claim to be something loudly and often online, rarely live up to such claims in the real world. That is not to say you're really a pencil-necked geek. You could be a Martian for all we know. I could actually be a bald Chinese guy for all you know. You just can't prove anything online.

We don't know you are a badass. We don't believe you are a badass. We will never know your are a badass. We will never believe you are a badass. Most importantly, we do not care whether or not you are a badass. Why does it seem to matter to you so much whether or not we do, oh great one of apathetic indifference?

People teased you at first because you seemed to take yourself a little too seriously. Online, teasing is almost like a mental massage. It's an attempt to get someone to lighten up. But, after your progressively angry responses, they continued to tease you because it because obvious you take yourself too seriously. Needling you is like needling Hirtes or Kimmaugh or Ebon. Neither can people take your grand vision - how you will someday take a moment as you are looking for your lost shaker of salt and think back on your furrier days as others here continue to twist in the tormented obsession with furrydom like souls spiraling in the whirlwinds of Hades - seriously. Why? Because you're still here. As long as you stomp your feet about how bad you are, and how you'll someday be living a lifestyle worthy of a Corona advertisement, in online forums where you're still obsessing with everyone else about the antics of furries, no one will believe you. You just come off as a guy with good intentions, but no follow-through. You want to go live the Jimmy Buffet life? Shut up and go do it. Get off of the board, and get back to work. Get back in the kitchen and help your wife with the dishes. You talk big about leaving furries behind for your beachcombing lifestyle but, like your claims of indifference, your words and actions do not mesh.

The bottom line - we don't care whether or not you are a badass. Unless you can do like the fellow in Shocker and hunt down your detractors through the electric lines, or unless you plan on stalking and beating the tar out of everyone that looks at you cross-eyed, there is no need to care. If you don't like folks teasing you about it, first stop having a hissy fit over it whenever someone does, and then stop talking about it all together. Second, no one cares about your wife. Love her, worship her. Feel her boobies up. Stop reducing her to a bowling trophy. And finally, stop telling us how little you care about things, because you obviously do.

Personally, I still respect you as a hard-working fellow that aspires to greater things than the average furry (I don't think of you as a furry in the worst sense of the word, but, still a furry nonetheless) but, seriously, chill out and put up, or shut up.

Many Americans don't understand the whole machismo thing, either. Overall, I think it's reserved for Hollywood, shit kicker bars, high school bullies, and the '70s. It just doesn't impress civilized people anymore. Displays of machismo and bravado are, by and large, yawnworthy these days, unless you're the kind of fellow that gets featured on Monster Garage, Dog: The Bounty Hunter, or American Chopper.

Likewise, military service doesn't immediately mean one is macho, or that one is inclined to be. My grandfather was a Flying Tiger in WWII, and, being the only thing like a father I had for most of my younger years, is largely responsible for teaching me the values I consider the mark of a man... honor, civility, compassion, etc..... not the capacity to stare down someone across a room... or, at least, the capacity to make claims thereof. You could be the grand poobah of the Green Berets for all I care, and it's not going to impress me in any capacity other than such discipline and devotion required to achieve such status is admirable. I wouldn't admire the ability to kill a guy 10 ways before he hits the floor... but I would admire the dedication it took to develop such an ability.

Yes, perhaps, just perhaps, they speak along the same lines as the majority of society, but not for all of it. You see, I too am a part of society, as much as I detest stating so, and I do not agree with them.. just as they do not agree with me.

I would offer that it would save us all time to just agree to disagree, but I believe that would be a waste of time, for they are quite adamant about breaking me down and hurting me or Ebon or just about anyone they chose to mention on this forum.

As for the click thing, no really, one of your friends has helped ensure that a good proportion of threads on a board I read alot contain images I find unsettling or down right unsuitable for the board. I certainly didn't expect to stumble on half of them right off the bat. Sometimes it's not always a case of don't like, don't look. Yet she goes batshit insane when I complain about it, all I want is for it not to make up a substantial portion of the threads on that board. If they want to stare at underaged child hentai or beastiality work why don't they ask an admin to set up a special section of the board for it instead of posting it in general where people who don't wish to see that sort of stuff look.

Yes, I did say "fix" the "stray humans" of the world or put them in shelters and give them a week to be adopted, but if you'd read the other posts, you'd have seen that it was simply to compair how humans treat animal populations and that to me it's wrong. As for the casterating thing, etc., Read my last post I talked about that in. I'm not for that, it was just to compair how we treat dogs and cats, etc., compaired to how humans treat one another. Far beyond 'victory', on a text based environment like this, and particularly on a discussion like this, to win means to be understood.

We've repeatedly shown we can't understand you. We've gave you countless chances to explain yourself and tell why you are the way you are. You have evaded the main questions all the time, and haven't been able to come with a coherent answer, not even a single time.

The only conclussion we can draw from that behavior is that, simply put, there's nothing behind your behavior to affirm it as a sane activity.
