this guy is holding her playstation hostage until she finishes the Oekaki that he paid her $40 for.

They even Wrote up contracts outlining the situation.

Alas, it did not go very well.

"delphinios" completely owns the guy, and he can't even muster a counterpoint because delphi is just so... right. Things got interesting when I had thought there was an SA invasion or something here, but nay, 'tis just a sassy young man! Wait, is there a conspiracy behind the whole Spongebob thing :!: :?: All in all, it sounds like the hambeast is right, but they're both a couple of bitches. I do so hope to see them on Judge Mathis, it would surely overshadow the internet incident. (Last link is good, gotta find Verix and bitch until it's back.)

I glanced through this, and it looks like it's more about an ugly breakup between two desperate souls than it is about some shitty piece of furry art. Although I think it's comical that he goes to all this effort to drive home the point that she's a gluttonous fat buttertroll AFTER he got done fucking her.

My verdict is that he's being a dick. Not so sure about her side of the story yet, I haven't read everything in depth.

For those that can't be bothered to surf to it, here's the contract:

public and legally binding agreement between jess_k and exile17 (real names on printed version)

1) JessK does the promised oekaki now.

2) JessK writes a contract for what both parties agreed on and both parties post it publically and permanently on their main www.livejournal.com accounts.

3) Exile ships the Playstation2, DDR mat and game to her, CoD and insured for $209.98, postmarked within 7 days of the oekaki commission's completion.

3a) if 3 is not met, points 4 and 5 are void, and Exile is to pay JessK $200 AND ship JessK's Playstation2, DDR mat and game to her.

3b) if Exile understands that JessK will acquire from him by other means her Playstation 2 plus DDR mat and DDR game, and/or the $200 promised in 3a.

4) JessK finishes and mails the other commission, postmarked by Jan 19 2005.

5) if #4 is not met, JessK refunds $40 to Exile for the commission.

Okay.. first off, he was planning to pay $40 for this piece of crap? I've drawn better stuff in MS Paint with my mouse. It's not like there was even that much effort put into it. If you watch the animation of the creation of the image, it's pretty much half a body mirrored and then doubled up. $40 for that??? Damn. For that you could spend your money better at a dinner and hibachi performance at a Japanese steakhouse or get a bigass sushi boat or something.

And lemme get this straight.... if he doesn't ship this Playstation package (which I'm assuming was maybe hers and he had it after this break-up I see mentioned.. rather than buying her this stuff) in a certain amount of time, he has to send all of that AND $200?? At what point did those terms sound like a good idea?

Furry is further proof that people will pay for something way beyond its actual value. I could justify it a little bit if the artist actual drew it by hand, or even if in Illustrator, but no oekaki (which is Japanese for "scribble") is worth $40. Still, in the almighty words of P.T. Barnum, "There's a sucker born every minute."

The suit concept art itself looks okay. Only one thing, the artist forgot to add notes for the placement of a SPA or SPH.

That's furrydumb for you. A bunch of idjits who think they can go around hijacking cars and charging high prices for crudely drawn garbage, which the artist no doubt believes is a masterpiece (well, it's a piece of something. That's for sure).

I'm waiting, actually waiting, for the first furry to finally leave the Oort Cloud of sanity and think that's it's permissible to commit murder against another in the fandom (probably try to rationalise it as "simply answering to their inner nature to be a predator").

And on that day, I'm sure ol Mister Squeakpony will be there on AFF, trying to BS an excuse for it all.
