Outraged by the blatant copyright violations of "NOT Sabrina", Eurofur news site urges the nameless hordes to ATTACK TEH CYD!
Note: they have handily listed all the info anyone could want, including name and address and a list of open ports... is this sort of thing legal, anyone? |

actually if you look, dutch furs just mentioned that CYD now has a link to the noso strips and links to CYD
that message with the info was a post made by "mundane"
so technically dutchfurs newswire didnt really do anything
also that information appears to be a whois or something like that ...someone posted similiar information on AFF when CYD first appeared (when people were trying to figure out where it was hosted)
and those 3 ports are probably pretty secure
80 (obviously its open )
110 pop3 for the CYD messages that get mailed out and to mitch@crushyiffdestroy.com (i think)
and 21 ftp i dunno what you could do with that one (other than ftp into the site...been a long time since ive used ftp...its probably used to uploaded fiels to the server, change code...as long as its secure , shouldnt be a problem)

Thanks for the heads up to everyone who emailed!
Dutchfurs do in fact have a disclaimer to the effect that "The comments are owned by the poster. We aren't responsible for their content." About all they could be faulted for is not editing/removing the post, but then again the information in it is readily available via WHOIS. As for the port information, I'm informed that a trawl through the site logs will reveal which IP the scanning was carried out from.
And I'm glad to see that the *ahem* "trap" works. You have experienced "Furry Vision".... |

well who ever posted it doesnt know what they are talking about anyway
port scanning is 70s shit from what i gather...unless there is a massive security hole
nowadays if you really wanna hack somethign you have to know software
i think the main vulnerability @ CYD would be php
i talked to my brother about it , and he was sayign usually the way webistes get hacked (from php) is they cause php to buffer overflow and then have a command or some sort of data at the tail end of that
so after php is gone your code goes through..or whatever
in other words, you REALLY have to know your shit |
