Furries will defend anyone it seems (so long as the practicioner is one of their favorite artists, of course).

According to one poster over there, Jay never had a sister and his mom abandoned him the first chance she got.
Hmm, I guess in comparison to that, the life of his alter-ego in his comic truley is having 'better days'...
Yay, whee. |

Jay's comic has seen better days.
Wow. Getting to fuck / be fucked by a sister who doesn't even exist in real life. Fisky-boy's a real piece of work. |

Notice Cigar Skunk defending conservatism when no one else even mentions it? Typical jump of logic for a furry.
A = Mocked for X
A = Y
Conclusion: Y was mocked!
If furries ran the world, kiddie porn would be not only legal, but a thriving business. |

Amazing what effort some furries'll go through to defend themselves from one little comment. One little crack and their entire wall collapses, and... oh no, reality just got through! |

2. Soap |

This isn't suprising me so much because, well, you'd probably hear crap like this on 4Chan as well. I have no trouble believing people can be this nuts.
ALSO: Your reputation has to factor in here somehow, as I'm guessing that a lot of people in that thread were just trying to piss you off. |

There is guilt by association within the fandom. And association by 'jerking off to his artwork'. Thus, a fan in defense of Naylor is in defense of the fan. Once this track fails, the fan will demand we 'forget about the artist, look at the art'. |

5:Crazy Jewmouse gun nut
It was 5:45 a.m. in the Ibrahim Mosque and 800 Muslim worshipers, their heads bowed in silent dawn prayer, knelt in neat rows on red carpets.
Then shots rang out. The gunman was Baruch Goldstein, 38, a Brooklyn, N.Y.-born physician from Kiryat Arba, a nearby settlement. Wearing the olive-green uniform of an Israeli army major, he burst into the Ibrahim Mosque in the Cave of the Patriarchs, a shrine holy to both Jews and Muslims.
JERUSALEM -- The mother of Baruch Goldstein, the Jewish settler who massacred about 40 Palestinians in a Hebron mosque a week ago, says she is proud of her son.
"I always thought to myself, 'When would someone get up and do such a thing?' And in the end, my son did it," Miriam Goldstein told the weekly Shishi newspaper.

Both groups grew out of the anti-Arab teachings of Rabbi Meir Kahane, an American-born extremist (...) In 1968, Kahane, who trained as a lawyer and rabbi, formed the Jewish Defense League (JDL), a militant group that promoted Jewish vigilantism and urged American Jews to arm themselves under the slogan “every Jew a .22.” (...) The State Department’s designation of the two groups as foreign terrorist organizations makes it illegal for Americans to fund them; nonetheless, U.S. officials suspect that Kach and Kahane Chai receive money from sympathizers in the United States (...) Some of Meir Kahane’s former associates remain active in the United States; in December 2001, two JDL leaders in California were charged with planning bomb attacks on a mosque, a Muslim advocacy organization, and the offices of an Arab-American congressman.
Kahanists have also shot, stabbed, and thrown grenades at Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank. In cases where Kach and Kahane Chai have not themselves claimed responsibility for anti-Arab attacks, Kahane and his followers have declined to condemn such violence and have often glorified it. (...) Israeli authorities also foiled the Machteret’s plans to blow up Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque, which is built atop the contested holy site known by Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary and by Jews as the Temple Mount. Destroying the mosque, experts say, could provoke a massive Middle Eastern conflict. (...) In April 2002, Israeli police arrested a former Kach spokesman in connection with an attempt to leave an explosive-packed trailer outside a Palestinian girls’ school and hospital in East Jerusalem (...) Yigal Amir, who assassinated Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, was not a member of Kach or Kahane Chai. However, the assassin interacted with many Kahanists within Israel’s radical right and had contacts with a far-right Israeli group that is another offshoot of Kach. Binyamin Kahane would not condemn Rabin’s murder and said that “a person could understand Amir.” |

Careful! They'll be adding "antisemetic" to CYD's rap sheet next and calling us all Nazis!
Kind of OT - but how come so many Republicans and (US) rightwingers are defenders of Israel - no matter what it does - when you just know that if they'd been born sixty years ago they'd be rampant Jew baiters? |

I like how one dipshit likened Naylor to Edith Wharton. That's like saying Carrot Top is as controversial as Bill Hicks. |

"In the 1890s Wharton started to contribute to Scribner's Magazine, but later, even at the height of her fame, she had problems with magazine cencorship. 'The Day of the Funeral' was considered "too strong" for the Ladies' Home Journal in 1931. 'Beatrice Palmato', *a story of incest, was never finished, but it gave fuel to speculations that Wharton herself was a victim of abuse. She once wrote: 'Brains & culture seem non-existent from one end of the social scale to the other, & half the morons yell for filth, & the other half continue to put pants on the piano-legs.'
Michael Hirtes: "Knowing that the artist condones incest, I tend to retch at the sight of his stuff now."
Yeah, let's burn all of Edith Wharton's books while we're at it.
Dumbass
Yeah, totally, Ethan Frome was EXACTLY the same as Naylor's stuff. I'm sorry, but writing a literary portrait of incest is alot different from Jay's absolutely pornagraphic centerfold-style drawings of the act. He treats it with loving detail- as something that's sexy and arousing, rather than condemning it or taking a documentary-style approach. In other words, just because you took a remedial literature class in 10th grade, don't go comparing literary classics to splooge. |

While this question is rather complex to answer, I think some American right-wingers feel kind of identified with Israelis. For them, Jewish like intrepid conquerors coming to a promised land from many parts of the world, settle down on sterile territories and bring it prosperity and civilization as they fight against tribes of wild people, kind of like what early Americans did in the frontier times. Of course, this is an extremely simple overview of a complex problem, but, you know, people love extremely simple overviews of complex problems.
I think that, for us Western people, it's easy to feel more identified with the Israeli society than the Palestinians. Or, at least, at a first glance. You see, people in Tel-Aviv follow Western fashions, they have buildings by Le Courbusier and other Bauhaus architects, and they surf on Jaffa's beaches, where girls wear bikinis, and they have no shame to use American-like promotions and campaigns to support their society:
So Israeli society seems culturally closer to us. They seem much closer to the American LifestyleTM than Palestinians. At least, at a FIRST glance, because if we browse a little deeper, we're going to find groups of 'ortodoxian Jews', probably as retrograde and conservative as the Wahhabi Muslims.
I also heard there are "Jewish lobbies" on the United States, powerful enough to influence US. politics and mentality in some ways. For instance, we've seen bazillions of movies about the Holocaust from the Jewish perspective, some of them as worthy of mention as The Pianist and the Schindler List, making us to think the whole holocaust was aimed solely against the Jews. However, they weren't the sole victims of the Holocaust, as some other victimized groups, like Gypsies, were also swept away from the Reich with identical cruelty. It's said that 85% of the Gypsies on the Reich were anihilated. Unfortunately, nobody seems to remember them, with a few exceptions.
This is just a mere introduction, because, the more you crawl on the connections between the American right wing and Israel's conservative side. But I don't know if CYD is the best forum to discuss it. |

Notice that it's for a burger and not a cheeseburger. Kosher dietary laws have a big bug up their butts about beef & lactose products getting in contact with each other (which I guess means all those beef pizzas I've eaten are gonna send me straight to Hell, literally). |

Well, the internet is a haven for the insane. No surprise there, it's just the trade-off to free speech.
Kind of OT - but how come so many Republicans and (US) rightwingers are defenders of Israel - no matter what it does - when you just know that if they'd been born sixty years ago they'd be rampant Jew baiters?
There's a very scary reason for this, one I've witnessed first hand.
I was having lunch with some people from work, and the topic of Iraq came up (know that the place I work for is unabashedly Right Wing Conservative Christian, going so far as including the bowing of heads in prayer at meetings), and it was an enlightening one for me.
It seem they believe Bush and America's role in Iraq is to hold off the Muslim forces until the coming of the Lord. This is the literal objective in the back of their minds, and the underlying reason they support the invasion of the Middle East and coddling Israel in it's war OF terror.
Me, I have my own beliefs - I think Muslims are dangerous and need to be dragged -kicking and screaming if need be- into the 21st century of human civility, even if it means diluting their more archaic religious beliefs. Israel needs to be done something with as well, but they have so many roots grown into the seats of power, money and influence that that's even more difficult a hurdle than the Muslims being stuck in backwater religious doctrine.
Christians are slowely coming into a more sane perspective on things, if only because the constitution forces them to leave people alone to a degree, plus our technology allows for other forms of ideas to be made available to new generations of people, giving them an opportunity to hear something other than what comes down from the pulpit. |

I think a it's misunderstanding here. I think orthodox Jews are total pacifists, and they even don't recognise Israel (they believe Israel would only be reborned after the coming of Messiah). I guess they're a lot like these traditional pre-WW2 European Jews (I mean the poor merchants, not, say, a Communist activists).
The gun-toting crazies are... I'm not sure, a sects of sorts, I guess... but they aren't what I'd call "orthodox Jews".
vs
You know what I mean.
And on the other comparision, I just can't see any difference:

And on the other comparision, I just can't see any difference:
The ones on the left have their faces covered to protect thier identites and those of their families and are hiding in the bushes because they have to run and hide from the Israelies who've been given world sanction to exterminate them, the ones on the right are openly allowing their identities be known because they have no fear of criticism for their actions and are on patrol hunting Palistinians like animals. |

Well, most Republicans are fundamentalist Christians. If you haven't heard, their nutcase doomsday prophecies depend on the survival of Israel as a nation, therefore their support is unconditional.
It's an ugly world out here :x |

After Nixon, sadly the Republican party has become the party of big business and the NRA. I wouldn't really point and say the GOP is full of fundie Christians, because too many are ditto-head libretarians.
Politics aside. Perhaps we should start a strip like the 'not sabrina online' for better days? What do you say? The first strip could be the Fisk family reunion/orgy, and we can have a dew hyenas eat watermelons or whatnot. |

Ehhh, I'd watch that. Most (Western?) Republicans are just Christian enough to say they believe in the Christian God, and go to church twice a year (Christmas and Easter mass). From my home it's a good 300 miles to the closest blue state, or 450 to the nearest blue county. Religion is pretty much absent in our daily lives, and it was definitely not an issue during the campaign. When Israel comes into conversation it's usually considered a 'nation of Jews fighting the good fight against those dirty terrorist A-rabs' - hey, my enemy's enemy is my friend, right? There's still fear about admonishing the Jews, due to the legacy of the Nazis, fear of being called anti-Semitic - the era of political correctness this is, excluding Muslims.
So while all fundamentalist Christians might be Republican, most Republicans aren't fundamentalist Christians. The idea that we get our politics and news from the pulpits is ludicrous. I haven't even seen one in six years. Reps who vote based on mythology seem to be concentrated circles of lunacy.
Having said that, things might be different back East. Like a wholly different nation, I hear entire cities just shut down after 11PM, and rumors spread about this 'South' rising again... |

And occasionally slaughtering our sailors while they are at it.

Well, you don't need to go to church to be a nut. My grandmother has not gone in a few years, yet she owns a book called 'Does God Have a Plan For America?' (no lie) and thinks the reason for the asian Tsunami was a God angry at Buddhism and Islam. In that respect, she's not much better than Saddam saying the Columbia disaster was the wrath of an angry Allah.
Toodles. |

* It's okay not to like a person's work for stupid reasons, as long as you don't try to convince people with those
For Great Justice !
Is it me or do a lot of the more freakish furries tend to think that it's ok to go around creating crap which most normal people view as obscene, wrong, or just plain nasty? They allow stuff to go on outside of RL, but then say they don't okay it or do it IRL (which they do anyways..) ? What the hell is wrong with them? >.<
So while all fundamentalist Christians might be Republican, most Republicans aren't fundamentalist Christians.
I still think most people in this world are moderate for the most part, meaning normal. If they weren't then everyone would too busy killing each other to notice.. |

Notice that it's for a burger and not a cheeseburger. Kosher dietary laws have a big bug up their butts about beef & lactose products getting in contact with each other (which I guess means all those beef pizzas I've eaten are gonna send me straight to Hell, literally).
Um...there's no Hell in Judaism, thank you very much. Yes, I'm Jewish. I'm also Atheist. And I'm not kosher either. :P |
