Check out yesterday's and today's Sinfest. More confirmation that furries do not have a good reputation, nope nope nope.

Stay tuned.

So, what, that's it? Slick puts on a bunny suit and suddenly he's a 'freaky furry'. Where's the exposition? Where's the drama?

I'm sorry, but this is completely uncreative and lame.

Sinfest can do SO much better.

I think I missed the punchline. It's far too generic to be very funny (which is my complaint about the comic in general, really). You could pretty much substitute a clown suit or a Klan uniform for the bunny costume without changing anything about the strips. It amounts to little more than an "OMG you're wearing something outrageous, I will overreact now!" gag. He could do better with the material.

Considering how many other furry related jokes that has been done in that strip, that is nothing.

Ishida's been teasing the furries for a while now. Here and here, f'rinstance. I'd swear the guy is a manifestation of the Internet. Check out the subtitle above his name, you'll see things popping up like 'Tatsuya Ishida Is Love'.

And I'd point out exposition and drama don't fit into two strips, but we all know GMVG has... biased tastes. (But she's too gothy-cute to hold a grudge against.) Yah, wait until this arc finishes and get back to us. It's a niche comic and the humor is weird.

But of course, no matter how lame or non-inflamitory something like this is, AT LEAST a dozen furries will scream OMG FURSECUTION and spam whatever message boards or forums Sinfest has. Just like they did to Penny Arcade.

(There's a post somewhere in the bowels of Chit Chat discussing the overreactions from the PA comic, as well as some other comics that poked fun at furries, but I can't be arsed to find it right now.)

Why don't you STFU and let me have my own opinion?

My opinion is that people should see something before they make an opinion of it. That's the serious one, anyway.

I had a funny one, but this thread is going stupid and I don't want to help.

So back on the goddamn topic. Sinfest's forums have been hit by the furries before, mostly furry fans of Sinfest, and the consensus is - furries suck. At best they'll be tolerated, in general they'll be told to go the hell home. So let's hope this gets around. Could make for entertaiiiiinment.

EDIT: AHAHAHAHAHAHAFUCKINGHA.

Amusing.
That should happen every time a furry says something on the internet.

I think the punchline is that the pig character is calling Slick a furry. Since the pig character is an anthromorphic pig, it makes the situation ironic.

It's still not a good punchline.

Well of COURSE GMVG is a girl. She's got that hot goth chick as her avatar, and only girls use female avatars. People wouldn't lie to you in the internet!

Wow, every webcomic is jumping on the furry bandwagon, even once original ones like Achewood. (read today's alt-text)

Yeah i just read a bunch of em, it's terrible and unfunny. Plus the image of the main guy is an obvious rip off of Calvin. And making fun of furries on a site not entirely devoted to making fun of furries(i.e. CYD), is like picking on Stephen Hawking, it's just so easy it's shameful.

You have got to be fucking kidding. Since when do you need an entire webside devoted to something stupid before you're allowed to make fun of it? Satirists can make fun of everything they damn well like, as much or as little as they please.

Wtf? Obviously they CAN do anything they want. What i was trying to say is that a site solely or largely devoted to punking furry has intimate knowledge of the fandom whose humor can be insightful because they've either been there or have heard about it enough to have something relevent to say. Otherwise it usually ends up lame and juvenile like the in that webcomic.

Making fun of furry is like making fun of Courtney Love. Some random could say "Lol, drugged out rehab skipping bitch!". But if you personally knew Courtney love you could say something a lot more relevent like "I remember when she OD'd, and shit herself in the bathtub after shooting up junk into her eyeball."(may or may not have acctually happened.)

Yeah, but Ishida wasn't poking fun at furries in the strip I linked to. He used their reputation to make an "overreaction" joke. And, no matter what you think of the joke or Sinfest in general, that's yet more evidence that no one thinks furries are just funny animal fans.
