Your situation is indeed laugh-worthy and interesting. And it's always humerous when furries think they are in any position to be taking legal action to soothe their anxiety over another furry. Thanks for sharing.

However there is a rule against posting the personal details of people here (phone numbers, etc.) I don't know if this applies to recordings of voice mails where the person leaves their number. Perhaps if you have some audio-editing software you can edit that bit out?

Yup, and follow up with as many examples as can be found to the Bar Association and the press. Now that would be fun to watch.

Also of interest is the question, has FC actually banned Sibe and if not where does this clown get off getting a restraining order barring his attendance when the con management itself has not seen to ban him much less go to court themselves.

I'm more than a little confused as to the doings, but this seems like out and out harassment via abuse of the legal system.

Really one just has to Occam's razor it to the simplest facts.

Some people don't like Sibe.
Some people go to the convention.
Sibe goes to the convention.
The convention allows both some people and Sibe to go.(?)
Some people don't want Sibe to go to convention.

Therefore since if the con will not ban a person, the other legal way is making it so Sibe cannot be within certain proximity of said person/people.

But I admit I don't know(and admittedly don't care much) about the whole thing to really do much research on either side to figure out what the middle-ground story is.

The courts would be overwhelmed with cases.

AP and BoN both are close to the complete answer, although a restraining order actually getting put in place does trump everything else. The hotel may or may not actually have given the right of attendance control to the convention organization signing the contract. If not, the hotel has some power to overrule the convention organization. If so, then the convention organization has the last say. However, AP's point is likely to be true. Simply threatening to take the money from the hotel that the convention goers bring in is likely to be enough for the hotel to not care to contradict the ban.

Interesting point Wayd, the con goers probably give the hotels some easy money. However, they probably lose money having to throw out "milk" stained bed sheets and messed up furniture. I'm not sure Wayd, the hotels probably get the money upfront, but probably lose a portion of it after the convention. I do like the points you made.

Perhaps if the hotel thought of that, the con might be over ruled by the hotel management. So, why should they give a shit over another paying guest that the con doesn't want but maybe they (hotel) does? If anything it might make up for the loss in towels.

As far as I know he wants to stay with a paying member and would be the guest of a guest. Not a paying customer.

That's what I thought, but the hotel is a private business and since it has a financial vestment, would likely due as the furrie con heads say and kick him out if found. Trust me, some dumbass 2-Gryphon lacky would scream out about finding him.

He could circumvent this by staying at another hotel, but he would have to go back to the main hotel to parttake in con parties and stuff. Although he could never get a conbadge because they check for ID.

Er, I suppose he could go to another hotel and jjust hang out with other furries when they leave the Double Tree, or sneak in and hide out in friendly rooms.
