Robert Crumb's R-rated series Felix the Cat, and the animated film based on his work, are perhaps good examples of anthropomorphic works that tread a fine line between "art" and "porn".
Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! Of course it's easy to mistake the two, right?
The idea that Furries are "Those people who draw pictures of Mickey and Minnie doing it" is qualitatively not far from thinking of all anime fans as closet pedophiles and fans of tentacle porn.
