I'm only making a quick return here just for this message, which I feel needs to be said.

I would rather not get into particulars as to why I had to leave (and will continue to do so until the problem is resolved), but it does, in fact, involve harassment, particularly from individuals who are using statements made at CrushYiffDestroy as a means to harass.

As much as the CYD comments hurt (and are wildly inaccurate), I would have just let it go as that being nothing more than stupidity spewed by a few buffoons who really have nothing better (or more productive) to do with their time and creative energy. In other words, nothing more than nonesense and a waste of time to even bother.

However, as I've said, some have taken the comments at CYD as a legitimised means to harass- One of which is in this forum, and the reason why I have left.

All I say is that those who believe the derogatory comments aboutr myself (or, for that matter, Gene) which have been posted there.....

.....Frankly, they deserve it.

And here I thought it was Jay Naylor who exterminated the Better Days forum because he got tired of dealing with all the stupidity going on there. Which was hardly CYD's fault. But hey wow, seems we destroyed it without wanting to or even knowing we did. We must be really powerful and evil.

Fun bonus fact: I first was aware of Quozl even before I found furry. (about early 1995?) I used to lurk on the skunks-as-pets newsgroup alt.skunks, and he used to post random stuff on there even though he didn't have one as a pet.

Most of the group were all these southern belles who had pet skunks and fought amongst eachother about what you're supposed to feed them, but one day some random person posted "Do you find skunks sexually attractive" and Quozl posted something in the affermative. That was pretty much my first WTF-furry-moment of the internet.

Well, a lot of us love that smell. You'd just have to watch
out not to get any in your eyes. I think their small size would

Eric A Schwartz is an ex-roommate from when I lived in California. Donotsue knows him - so do you, Miguel. I don't feel the need, nor have the right to air his dirty laundry - I didn't know that he liked the smell of a skunk - however, he was a filthmonger, so I guess it makes sense.

I personally think skunks smell pretty good... I like thier brand of weed anyway. And beer that has that sort of smell to it.. like Heineken or alot of German and European beers.

Getting sprayed in the face by an actual skunk is completely different story tho :)

I love a light waft of skunk on the evening breeze. It's a completely different smell than a closer spray. And christ, if your sprayed, yes, you can be temporarily blinded and rendered very ill.

One misconception I see often is that skunks themselves smell bad, or at least very strong smelling. I know this is incorrect first-hand as once I was asked by my mother to investigate some strange goings-on under our house (no I don't live there any more, and we didn't even have a fucking basement so there :), she said something like "here, take a look down the vent with this flashlight, I think there's something living down there, there is this animal smell", so I did, and I did smell a musk, but it wasn't strong, and actually, it didn't really smell like skunk spray. So I got down there and shined the light inside and not a foot and a half away from my face I could see this huge skunk just kickin' it. "It's a skunk!" I announced. In the end we had some folks out to trap and release it back into the wild, away from houses (for now). but anyways, I've never smelled a ferret but I would guess that the skunk's odor is about the same level or less than a ferret, as I've heard those guys can get stinky, and the skunk wasn't so bad. So they don't smell, much, dammit!

Most beer to me has an odor similar to skunk... except the domestic stuff that's like sex in a boat (fucking close to water). I've always described skunk smell kind of like boiling neoprene winter wear in coffee.

Ferrets, on the other hand, smell kind of like boiling sweet peas and honey in a vat of urine.

I work at a pet store and I've always thought ferrets smelt like an old, dusty room.

Now, mice on the other hand, smell like acrid dead bodies.
