somethings definatly "not OK" with the flavor... its definatly rank, but hey! Cheers ! =>

Its bad, but not as bad as the St. Ides incident... dont buy Malt Liquor in the suburbs.

The way stores are these days, that could have been purchased yesterday. My wife recently bought a bottle of Advil that expired in September of last year. I've seen cheese at stores that was 5 months old.

Yeah, I know it was bought about a month and a half ago ... there was something wrong with it tho ... then again, there is a reason why beer is supposed to be in brown or green glass and not clear.

Might have to do with light or something.. like how some chemicals have to be stored in amber bottles.

But that's a significant part of my under-21 years.. :)

Not that I thought I was a gangsta or anything, but that it's US$1.50 for a 40 of Schlitz, and where I grew up my friends and I would band together to get a homeless fella to get all of us 40's and also himself one, then we'd wind up drinking with him in a ravine and listening to crazy bum stories. good times.

Yes, some chemicals like alcohol break down under UV radiation, like direct sunlight. Other chemicals are more sensitive still, which is why, say, Hydrogen Peroxide is always in an opaque plastic container.

Wow... I remember something from chem class besides burning things? I'm impressed.

Drug stores are pretty bad about outdated stuff, especially if it's not merchandised by outside vendors. Though on the other hand, while people freak out about outdated over the counter medications, they aren't really going to hurt you, they just aren't going to have any effect at all.

You know you've hit rock bottom when you're making threads about what you're currently drinking.

the only point of a 40oz of St Ides (or Old E) is to get fucked up for less than $2 =>

Its just that out in the suburbs people are less likely to drink certain beverages, right ? so they might be really old
(the St. Ides I refered to was almost 2 years old)

I agree on the cheap booze.. but then again Ive gotten to the point I like the expensive stuff ... Ill buy MGD or Molson XXX or Yeungling... but I like alot of those smaller breweries and imperials. A lot of which are even stronger than Malt Liquor and taste a hell of a lot better. I bought a 6 pack of Storm King Imperial Stout the other day that set me back liek $10. I think it was worth it tho.

Actually that was the only reason it was posted... at the time I thought it was hilarious

a 'drunk post' from me isnt going to be garbled and misspelled... most likely it would just be pointless, a huge non-sequitur or just have a few extra words missing here or there =>

I got my tolerance up to a 40 and a 22 (thats 64 oz of thick, syrupy malt liquor) during those binge-drinkin' days. Almost anything is better than Schlitz, but thats all the "7" (a 7-11 that stopped paying its franchise bills or something) sold for under $2.00

I tried to get the tolerance up to 2 40's, but then I threw up on a jogger's shoes* and passed out in a field under some power lines. (true story) Needless to say, I can't stand malt liquor now.

* Ever drank so much that you had the spins, but you know that as long as EVERYTHING is okay and you just keep moving, you won't throw up? Well this elderly jogger came up to us and then suddenly asked "is this a good place to get high?" and it was just too much for my delicate situation.

Ehh, thats nothign to worry about. I drink a lot of straight bourbons and scotch.. and seriously malt liquor makes me gag everytime. When I get to the basement even on a 22oz I gotta pour it out half the time, cuz its just not happening :)

I'm not going to directly state my worst binge drinking time - I can't remember it. All I know is I can't recall anything that happened for those two weeks.

The first one I remember... well, let's say I don't like Vodka, or Sunny Delight - together, or apart.

Stoli's the premier Russian vodka. The best Russian brand available in America, and one of the best vodkas in general. I haven't tried the vanilla-flavored Stoli. Have fun. Post review.

I can post a review of the shortcomics me and my friend had with Stoli Vanil.

"Dude, there's no booze taste in this. This is fucking good! (everyone agrees)"

"Whersh tha stholi"

"smbgblb... slbgb..."

When you mix it with cola, it gets so good that you just can't stop drinking.

Excellent. The only other vodkas I've had were Smirnoff and (guh) Popov, and I absolutely hate the taste of ethanol swishing around my mouth.

Will post trip report

Protip: If you get one of those water filter jug things that are intended for the purposes of getting rid of limescale and such, they also happen to serve exceedingly well for turning cheap and crappy vodka into nice vodka with considerably less aftertaste.
Okay, you'll have to replace the filter a lot, but it still works out cheaper than buying expensive vodka.
